Alfred Mutua Drops Cheeky Reply On Lillian Nganga’s Claims

Governor Mutua borrowed from an early 1920s poem by American writer Max Ehrmann’s Desiderata for his cheeky reply seemingly aimed at Nganga.

Machakos County Governor Alfred Mutua has responded to the explosive claims made by his ex-wife Lillian Nganga on Thursday, November 4.

Governor Mutua borrowed from an early 1920s poem by American writer Max Ehrmann’s Desiderata for his cheeky reply seemingly aimed at Nganga.

From the poem, Mutua stated that he had only peaceful relations with those he knows.

“Go placidly amid the noise and the haste, and remember what peace there may be in silence. As far as possible, without surrender, be on good terms with all persons,” Mutua stated.

The Governor also provided an update of his visit to the United States and shared a photo of himself enjoying an early morning sun basking in Boston.

He then shared a video of himself taking a jog around the streets of the city.

Nganga claimed that her life is in danger after she ended her relationship with Governor Mutua on Sunday, August 15.

Speaking to the press on Thursday, November 4 in the company of her lawyer, Senior Counsel Philip Murgor, Nganga accused Mutua of frustrating her as well as threatening her and people close to her.

“Mr Mutua angrily termed me as his Enemy No 1 and threatened to ” crush me to ash ”, as he takes away everything I have and own.

“Indeed, this has already started as he has demanded that I refund any money he has ever given to me or made available for my use. He also threatened to harm persons close to me.” read a press release sent to newsrooms.

Nganga further revealed that Mutua demanded her to apologise and retract the statements she made on social media regarding her breakup, to which she declined.

She went on to accuse the Machakos county boss of having offers from people to kill persons close to her and threatened that he would take up the offers to teach some of them a lesson.

“He arrogantly stated that he was a very important and powerful person in this country and he can get away with anything and everything he has planned to do to me and my friends. He added that his social media machinery is ready and waiting to finish me and my friends completely,” she went on.

Nganga filed a restraining order in the High Court in Milimani on October 7, 2021, against the governor, but he fought against it.
