Bouncers At Ruaka Nightclub Beat Reveller To Death (VIDEO)

Macharia died under mysterious circumstances after he was assaulted and dragged out of the premises after a scuffle, with the altercation captured on CCTV.

Brian Macharia, a 27-year-old man, died on Sunday, September 26 after he was allegedly assaulted by a bouncer at Wingu Bistro club in Ruaka, Kiambu County.

According to a report by Citizen TV, Macharia died under mysterious circumstances after he was assaulted and dragged out of the premises after a scuffle, with the altercation captured on CCTV.

The footage showed Macharia conversing with a chef in the kitchen area at around 12.32 am before the latter disappears and reappears accompanied by a bouncer.

Presumably for being on the wrong, the chef pointed at Macharia before the bouncers attacked him. Macharia, who appeared intoxicated, had tried explaining something to the bouncer who ignored his sentiments and tried to force him out of the club.

The bouncer then tore Macharia's shirt before pushing him down as he continued with his onslaught.

The fracas drew the attention of some revellers who had tried to intervene in favour of the deceased but were prevented from further doing so by other bouncers.

It took the sentiments of one female colleague to halt the bouncers from beating up Macharia further.

Macharia had tried to access the club again but was assaulted by the bouncers who tried to lock him up at their store.

He was seen bleeding from his injuries inflicted by the muscular men.

He was locked up in their store and was later found dead on the ground floor of the building, with the club located on the sixth floor.

“He had a lot of injuries, that is around the waist, his arm was broken maybe twice or thrice, broken legs. But according to people who saw whatever happened, they said that Brian dropped dead,” said Martin King’ori, a close relative of Macharia.

Macharia's father-in-law also disclosed that the late Macharia had recently settled down and had not even been blessed with a child.

Police have since arrested three suspects linked to the assault and murder among them, the club owner and one bouncer. The club's license has also been revoked following the incident that occurred beyond curfew hours.

Kiambaa sub-county police commander Phineas Ringera affirmed that the authorities are still pursuing the suspects who could have been also involved in the assault and murder of Macharia.

An autopsy conducted on Sunday, September 26 revealed that Macharia died as a result of multiple organ damage.
