Citizen TV anchor Lillian Muli has addressed a section of reports that had alleged that she was in a relationship with a wealthy tycoon.
Speaking to comedian Jalang’o in an interview released on Thursday, January 20, Muli called out a section of bloggers for reporting false stories just to get clicks.

During the past weekend, she shared on her Instagram stories a clip of a man’s tattooed arm while seated on the co-driver’s seat of a vehicle, resting on her.
Many had insinuated that the sassy anchor might have found a new catch and the rumours were picked up by a section of blogs, raising further curiosity on the matter.
“People say a lot of things that are not true. It’s unfortunate that when you’re in the social media space, a lot of people who say these things just want to get hits, yet the stories are not true,” she addressed.
Muli added that she had attended a friend’s birthday in Naivasha and upon returning to Nairobi, had carpooled to a brunch party. However, from the posts she shared, many of her social media followers mistook them for her finding her new catch during the vacation.
“I’m not trying to defend myself. I went for my friend’s birthday. It was a big birthday. The birthday was lit and fantastic, and then the next day as we were coming back to Nairobi, we went for a brunch party. So we decided to carpool instead of everybody driving there separately,” she added.
Nonetheless, Muli added that she does not mind dating a tycoon and that the blessing is on the way.
“Now how people drew their own conclusions, I don’t know but it’s alright. In fact, I also want a tycoon boyfriend. Who doesn’t want a tycoon boyfriend? Thanks for the blessings. That tycoon boyfriend is coming. Or maybe he’s there but that’s none of your business.”
She added that she is uncomfortable publicising details of her private life, including her relationships.
“I have very good relationships with the people that matter, but the reason I don’t answer questions about whether or not I am dating is that there’s someone who is going to get upset,” she noted.
Muli keeps details of her private life a secret from her followers and viewers. She had come from a failed relationship with a prominent Nairobi businessman and had gone through a divorce.
She is a single mother of two boys and had confessed her undying love for them so much so that she is not planning on having a daughter.
“I grew up with boys. I have two brothers so I have always wanted to have boys.
“I realized that as a single mum you have to fill in those gaps. I try to balance things with my boys, learn what they like, and do that. Being a single mum is not a tag. The people in my life are present so I don’t tag myself a single mum,” she concluded.
In a previous interview, she affirmed that she would never share photos of her boyfriend online.
“I am happier than I have ever been. I am in a good place and trust me I would never post a picture of my man,” she said.
