Citizen TV’s Willis Raburu Welcomes Newborn With Ugandan Girlfriend

Citizen TV anchor Willis Raburu is a father for the second time in more than a year after he welcomed his newborn baby whom he sired with his new girlfriend Ivy Namu.

Raburu took to his Insta-stories on Monday, July 5 to share a photo of his newborn baby holding his hand; flanked by Elevation Worship and Maverick City’s song Million Little Miracles.

Before sharing the photo, Raburu shared a series of Instastories detailing messages of goodwill and uplifting songs.

Raburu’s new flame Namu celebrated a successful delivery, weeks after the two had hosted an invite-only baby shower.

The two have been keeping their newfound relationship under wraps, with only a section of people knowing about their budding love that has been largely kept away from the public. However, details of their baby shower were leaked by blogger Edgar Obare, which fuelled rumors of the two expecting a child together.

Ivy Namu Profile

Namu is better known as Ivy Namulindwe and she is a singer and content creator from Uganda.

The multi-talented entertainer met Namu for the first time in 2019 during his Citizen TV show 10/10 where she was invited to perform a few songs before being interviewed by Raburu.

Namu is 26 years old and will mark her 27th birthday on October 17, 2021. She has been supporting Willis Raburu’s ventures for some time, including his musical journey and his BAZU business outfit.

She is also a women empowerment Champaign ambassador, having been featured in a Daily Nation interview on the same. Namu, who has been raising eyebrows with her gorgeous Instagram posts, is also a Youtube vlogger.

Namu’s Insta-stories and posts show a woman who enjoys the party life as well as her hobby of traveling and a lover of food. She is also a lover of her family.

Willis Moving On

The news of Willis welcoming a newborn into his new family come a year plus, after parting ways with his ex-wife Marya Prude Ngami. The former couple had gone through a tough time after they lost their daughter baby Adana after developing complications that led to a stillbirth. They broke up shortly after.

In April 2021, through a Q&A session with her fans, Prude confirmed that she was officially divorced, adding that even though people were still courting her, she declared that she is not interested in pursuing a relationship.

In a separate interview, the news anchor disclosed that talking about the loss always makes him emotional. He also said that it was a very trying time for him and his ex-wife Marya Prude because many people lashed out at them through derogatory comments and the rough period offered him an opportunity to know his true friends.

“It was a very trying time and talking about it sometimes makes me very emotional so I try not to, but you are advised to. All I can say is that so many people came out and lashed at us saying very many bad things.

“But for me, that’s when you get to know your friends. That happened to us. It’s something I think about every day. It is very difficult. I don’t think people understand what that kind of loss does to you because I don’t think there’s any day I don’t go through that I don’t get affected,” Raburu stated.

In January 2021, Raburu penned down a letter to his late daughter that read;

“My beautiful daughter, some days are easy some days are so hard. Today I woke up trying to imagine what it would be like to watch you sleep, ( that’s the only image I have of you) what it be like you hold warm fingers, what a sleepless night would feel like.

What it would be like to go to work tired because you kept me up at night, who you would look like now? what color of your skin? if you would drink as much milk as I did when I was your age.

My daughter, you are an angel now, or so they tell me and when I look up to the sky sometimes I cry, sometimes I laugh, I want you to make so much noise in heaven, or in the multi-verse you are in”.
