Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Division Two side Dandora Youth received a shot in the arm on Wednesday, August 4 with local airline Skyward Express Airlines coming in as the team's main sponsor. 

The deal, as confirmed by the company's chairman captain Mohammed Abdi, is worth Ksh4.2 million for the next two years. 

"We have been involved in sports before and we are very glad to continue supporting the dreams of the youth in Dandora.

"The onus is now on them to take advantage of this opportunity to ensure the team gets promoted to the next level and also show their talent to the world," he said during the sponsorship unveiling, 

Team Patron Johanna Omolo expressed gratitude to Skyward for the gesture. 

"This is a huge step forward in professionalizing the club and we thank Skyward for believing in us.

"The ripple effect of this sponsorship will be felt in the entire community and that is what football is all about." He said. 

Dandora Youth is fourth in their zone of the Division Two League and is coached by former Kenyan International Ezekiel Akwana.

He said the Skyward sponsorship would go along way in supporting the team in its quest to play in the Kenyan Premier League in the near future.
