The war of words between former Churchill Show comedian Akuku Danger and socialite Vera Sidika escalated further after the latter fired a stinging response to the former calling her out online over a Ksh5,000 debt during her gender reveal party on Saturday, July 10.

Vera Sidika issued a response to the debt standoff,  alleging that Akuku had only bargained for Ksh10,000 and not the Ksh15,000 he was claiming she owed him for the sound services he provided for the party.

“On top of it the chicken got in late 2 hours later than agreed time. Leaving just 1-hour service, 8-9 pm. Water alone cost me a whooping Ksh105,000.

"If they only knew the amount of money put in that gender reveal party. To think that Ksh5,000 is anything. That’s not even my call credit," Vera ranted on her Instagram stories on Monday, July 12.

Sidika added that her team handled planning and used her mother’s phone to make all payment transactions in full, before guests had even streamed into the party.

"It's bad manners to ask for a figure, get paid in full seconds later, even before you go anywhere. Then you get to the location you start making excuses on why you want to be added Ksh5,000 on top.

"This was not anywhere in agreement with my Personal Assistant (PA). Even the Ksh200,000 you'd have been paid if that is what you would have requested," Vera went on.

Before the dust could settle, Akuku responded in another  lengthy Instagram post that he didn't care about the amount of money the socialite spent on the reveal party, but the Ksh5,000 balance she owes him was the most important.

Akuku went on to reveal he was contacted by Vera directly and accused her of lying to the public that it was her PA who bargained for the service.

“I don't care about the water that you ordered from the website, I don't care about the Decor that was "out of this world" I don't care about the fame that you talking about so I'm not desperately looking for it like you desperately looking for a husband.

"I'm glad you found out I'm a comedian do you know what came out the first time I googled your name? Those things that the government banned that we used to use for flying toilets back then!" Akuku fired back.

He urged Vera to use the same effort she used to contact him for his services to finish paying off his debt, and not after the event where she allegedly sent a group of her intoxicated friends to harass him.

“To those who know how the business of providing a service works know that it's a down payment before the gig then the rest when you get to the venue/or done with the gig (That was the agreement). There was no tale of waiting until tomorrow to pay my money or something like that which by the way I wouldn't have mind but the way you packaged that information with insults plus wasting my time and intimidating us with your security went contrary to the agreement," he went on.

Akuku again urged Vera to finish paying off the Ksh5,000 debt while warning her not to take advantage of business startups to finance her events.

"Don't pay me with mentions. It's cash baby, cash!" he concluded.
