How To Kiss Among Kenya’s Most Searched Questions On Google

The technology company released a list of the most searched topics, questions, and personalities by Kenyans on Wednesday, August 11 since it launched the search-analyzing website – Google Trends – in 2006.

One of Google’s most searched questions by Kenyans online over the past 15 years- believe it or not, is how to kiss.

The technology company released a list of the most searched topics, questions, and personalities by Kenyans on Wednesday, August 11 since it launched the search-analyzing website – Google Trends – in 2006.

The question came second behind ‘how to make love’, the two most popular questions outlining Kenyans’ struggles with the two actions which are vital in any relationship. Many Kenyans have accused each other of being poor kissers.

The exercise is simple; have your lips touch softly as you feel the person out. Keep your lips just slightly parted, and continue kissing the person for five or ten seconds before letting go.

Keep your hands active while you kiss. Use your hands to cup the person’s face, stroke his hair, or caress his neck.

In the same category, Kenyans searched on how to write a CV, what is love, how to make money online, and how to fuliza using Safaricom’s M-PESA overdraft service.

Kenyans also searched for how to cook pilau, what is IP, how to bake a cake, and how to write an application letter.

The searches also confirmed Kenya’s unfettering love with politicians, with six of the most searched personalities taken by political personalities.

The individuals include President Uhuru Kenyatta, ODM Leader Raila Odinga, Deputy President William Ruto, activist Miguna Miguna, former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko, and Embakasi East MP Babu Owino.

“Proof that the majority of Kenyans support the revolution and their Revolutionary General in their tens of millions,” lawyer Miguna Miguna stated, expressing his gratitude to Kenyans.

The English Premier League topped the most searched items by category ahead of the new season which kicks off on Friday, August 13 with newly-promoted Brentford hosting Arsenal. It will be the first Premier League game to welcome back a near-full stadium of fans following nearly two seasons games were played in empty stadiums to curb the spread of COVID-19.

Interestingly enough, the Fantasy Premier League was also among the most searched topics by category, a fantasy game where Kenyans compete amongst one another in mini-leagues using players picked from different teams to score points.

Other football topics included the UEFA Champions League, Europa League, La Liga, and Serie A. Kenya Premier League sides Harambee Stars, Gor Mahia, AFC Leopards also made it to the top 10 list in the Sports category.

The love for football coincided with the love for gambling with Kenya reportedly having the highest number of gamblers in Sub- Saharan Africa.

In the General Category, Betin Kenya is the third most searched as Jumia Kenya came fourth. Brighter Monday which is a job website founded in Kenya in 2006 was fifth in the General Category, with Kenya Power ranked seventh.

Other most searched items included; December Holidays and the Kenya Law Report which closed the list of top searched items in the general category.

In terms of media, personality Betty Kyallo, Citizen TV presenter Jeff Koinange and his former compatriot turned State House spokesperson Kanze Dena also joined in the list of the most searched personalities.

“I honestly appreciate the interest, goodness number 7. The truth is I have been through many highs and lows in life and having started my media career so young I’ve gone through most of it in the public eye which is never easy. It’s actually quite tough.

“It’s like living your youth plus young adult life with everyone watching,” Kyallo commented.
