Nigerian celebrated prophet and televangelist T.B Joshua is dead.

Temitope Balogun Joshua, commonly referred to as T.B Joshua, died on Saturday evening, June 5.

T.B Joshua was a renowned televangelist who was the leader and founder of a megachurch, The Synagogue Church of All Nations, and also ran a successful media house dubbed Emmanuel TV television station.

According to reports, the Man of God died shortly after concluding a programme in his Lagos church on Saturday evening.

Over the years, T.B Joshua made use of his Emmanuel TV platform to popularize his ministry through preaching and televised miracles that reached many nations.

Through his widespread media empire, he rose to become one of the biggest Christian broadcast stations, reaching millions worldwide.

Through his ministry and supporters across the globe, T.B Joshua had turned his ministries into a multimillion-dollar empire. He was however credited for his philanthropic acts that extended beyond his country’s borders. 

“His giving ability was legendary, and he was always involved in extensive humanitarian projects worldwide, using The Synagogue,” wrote a follower after news of his demise was broken through T.B Joshua Ministries social media page.

In 2017, the Man of God hit Kenyan headlines after a video emerged while he ‘cast out demons’ that ruined the family and career prospects of Kenya’s Olympic Champion Mercy Cherono.

The celebrated religious entrepreneur was 57 years old at the time of his death. As Nigerians and many of his followers worldwide continue to condole his passing, the cause of his death is yet to be revealed.
