Kenya's Youngest Tycoon To Expand TV Station to Tanzania
Mbugua met with some of Tanzania’s top media bosses in anticipation of the new projects that he has aligned for East Africa.
Kenya’s renowned creative powerhouse, Eugene Mbugua was in the company of Sauti Sol’s Bien Aime as they sought to expand their reach beyond Kenya and into Tanzania.
The CEO of Document and Reality TV (D&R TV), also known as Young Rich Television Ltd, is looking to expand his reach beyond Kenya and into Tanzania.
According to details of the duo's trip to Tanzania on Friday, June 11, that have reached Viral Tea's news desk, Mbugua met with some of Tanzania’s top media bosses in anticipation of the new projects that he has aligned for East Africa.

Mbugua and Bien met the CEO of Clouds Media Group Joseph Kusaga before proceeding on to East Africa radio for an interview. It was there that they disclosed that they would work with Evans Bukuku, who is a presenter at the station.
Another media owner that Mbugua met with for possible collaborations was the CEO of E FM Radio Francis Ciza.
Mbugua, when contacted by Viral Tea, disclosed that he also met Music Producer & Sound Engineer, Hermy B, Award-winning personalities such as Juma Jux, AY, Hamisi B Mandi, Jonijoo and Evans Bukuku where they discussed the creation of new television shows featuring renowned Kenyan and Tanzanian personalities.
Mbugua is behind some of the popular shows currently airing include Sol Family, Foods of Kenya, Stori Yangu, Get in the Kitchen, Being Bahati and This Love, his latest creation.
His media venture utilises a blend of narrative devices and interviews with real subjects woven into high quality television shows, a move that has contributed to the meteoric rise and the cataclysmic burst of African stories that are told the African way.
The company’s move to collaborate with Tanzania comes at a time when relations between the two countries are at their best following President Samia Suluhu's visit to Kenya, relations that could bolster the potential of exponential growth for the entertainment industry beyond the musical sphere.
Mbugua's Documentary & Reality TV Limited is home to Kenya’s most popular shows running on broadcasters that are continentally acclaimed in Africa under The MultiChoice Group, KTN, and K24 among others.
Documentary & Reality Television Ltd (Young Rich Television Ltd) is an audiovisual production company founded in 2013 that specializes in the production of unscripted television content.
The company has produced multiple television shows and documentaries for broadcasters, distributors, and companies in Kenya and across the African continent.
