Eldoret City came to a standstill over the weekend as the Coca-Cola Christmas Caravan rolled through, spreading holiday joy and excitement.

Residents turned out in droves to witness the spectacle, many walking away with Christmas gifts such as goats (mbuzi), chickens (kuku), fish, flour, and hampers. The festive giveaways brought smiles to families preparing to celebrate the season.

One of the lucky winners of the Coca-Cola Christmas Caravan, Janet Cherotich Kosgei, expressed her joy after winning a goat. “I was bringing my children to Rupa Mall for swimming, and we decided to participate in the Coca-Cola Christmas Caravan," she remarked.

"We won a goat, and we are so grateful to Coca-Cola for this early Christmas gift. It will be a wonderful addition to our family’s festive meals. We also received wheat flour and 3 litres of Coca-Cola soda. Thank you, Coca-Cola, and may God bless you!”

Kicking off at Rupa Mall, the caravan toured the city, creating magical moments and igniting the holiday spirit. Inspired by the generosity of Santa Claus, the Coca-Cola Christmas Caravan is all about fostering togetherness and spreading joy during the festive season.

Jecintar Hamisi, the Key Accounts Manager for North Rift at Coca-Cola Beverages Kenya, shared her enthusiasm for the event: "Today we are here at Rupa Mall with the Christmas caravans. It’s a very exciting occasion for us, and we’re thrilled to bring the cheer of Christmas to Eldoret residents.

"Last year, the community requested that we return, so we are here to bring gifts and share the love. We want our consumers and customers to celebrate with us this season and ensure that Coca-Cola is part of their festive meals," Hamisi stated.

She emphasized the importance of giving during the holiday season: "We encourage everyone to spread the love, share with friends, neighbours, and the less fortunate who might not have as much. This December, let’s make it a time of togetherness and generosity.”

The caravan began its nationwide tour on December 2 at Coca-Cola’s Embakasi plant in Nairobi. It traveled to counties in Mt. Kenya, Rift Valley, Nyanza, Eastern, and Western regions. At every stop, it brought communities together to share in the magic of the holidays.

“It’s not Christmas until Coca-Cola says so. Today, we officially declare the start of the festive season,” said Ampher Apidi, Experiential Marketing Manager at Coca-Cola Beverages Africa Kenya. “We invite everyone to join in by sharing a Coke, a meal, and the joy of giving.”

Coca-Cola’s “Real Magic” campaign highlights the importance of human connections and acts of kindness. The caravan embodies this message, inspiring Kenyans to embrace the holiday spirit through generosity and shared celebrations.

“Christmas for Coca-Cola is about more than just festivities—it’s about coming together to celebrate the relationships that matter most,” added Apidi. “This year, we’re delivering magical, kindness-filled experiences to communities across Kenya.”

Coca-Cola has partnered with malls and supermarkets nationwide to enhance the festive atmosphere, creating more opportunities to spread holiday cheer.

As Christmas and the New Year draw near, Coca-Cola invites everyone to celebrate by making meaningful connections, sharing unforgettable moments, and ensuring the holidays are filled with magic and generosity.
