This June, more than 1,000 young leaders from across Africa will gather at the Kenya School of Government (KSG) in Nairobi for the highly anticipated CorpsAfrica All-Country Conference (ACC 2025)—a pivotal event set to spotlight the power of youth-driven development across the continent.
Hosted by CorpsAfrica, an international NGO dedicated to community-led transformation, ACC 2025 arrives at a crucial moment.
Africa is home to the world’s youngest population, with over 70% of sub-Saharan Africa under 30 years old—a demographic projected to reach 830 million by 2050. This unprecedented youth wave represents both a challenge and an enormous opportunity for economic growth, innovation, and social change.
Harnessing Africa’s Youth for Impact
CorpsAfrica is at the forefront of leveraging this youthful energy. Through volunteer-driven, human-centered development, the organization mobilizes university and college graduates to serve as change agents in their own communities, tackling pressing issues in education, healthcare, food security, entrepreneurship, and climate action.

“Our objective as an organization is to mobilize college-educated youth by providing a platform to make a difference in the regional communities through volunteerism and entrepreneurship,” said Dr. Patricia Kingori-Mugendi, Country Director, CorpsAfrica/Kenya.
The organization, now operating in 10 African countries, champions small-scale, high-impact projects developed in collaboration with local communities.
Volunteers undergo two months of training before being embedded in communities for 10 months, where they co-design and implement projects. Locals contribute at least 25 percent of project resources, ensuring long-term sustainability.
Partnering with CorpsAfrica to host ACC 2025, the Kenya School of Government is calling on stakeholders to rally behind Africa’s young visionaries.
“The need for change by young people across the continent demonstrates the determination of a well-educated generation eager to shape their future. As joint stakeholders in advancing youth leadership, innovation, and development, we must increase our mentorship, funding, and collaboration efforts in addressing these most pressing needs of young people across the continent", Dr. Tom Wanyama, Principal Lecturer speaking on behalf of the Director General
A Power-Packed Week of Solutions and Innovation
Building on the momentum of the inaugural ACC event in Rwanda (2023), ACC 2025 will feature interactive workshops, high-level panel discussions, impact stories, and cross-sector collaborations. The focus? Youth leadership, innovation, and community-led solutions that will redefine Africa’s development landscape.
Key partners, including the Mastercard Foundation and leading development agencies, are pushing for strategic alliances between the private sector, governments, and youth-led initiatives.
“This is a time of hope and opportunity. With the right investments in training and skills development, Africa’s youth have the potential to drive sustainable development in rural, under-resourced communities in their home countries and shape the continent’s future", said Dr. Mugendi.
With Nairobi as the epicenter of this groundbreaking event, ACC 2025 is set to catalyze a new wave of youth-led transformation, one that could redefine Africa’s path to prosperity.
