Adding "After a three-day medical and processing period, successful applicants will be issued visas. Travel arrangements will be completed within days after visa issuance."

Mutua added that he has negotiated reduced and affordable costs to make the opportunity accessible. This means that successful candidates will pay for their tickets, medical, and minor processing fees.

Interested candidates are advised to bring certificates and any relevant documentation on the recruitment dates as well as appropriate clothing for practical assessments.

To alleviate challenges regarding passport acquisition, CS Mutua announced that the government will speed up the issuance of the crucial document to facilitate their travels "No passport? No problem! Expedited passport issuance will be facilitated for successful candidates," he assured.

Successful candidates will take home salaries ranging from Ksh33,000 to Ksh60,000, which are tax-free. Additionally, free accommodation, transport, food, and medical care will be provided.

"This is a life-changing opportunity. Come and try your luck!" he rallied Kenyans.

On December 5, 2024, Mutua announced 600 job opportunities for motorcycle riders in Dubai, with aspiring applicants required to have the following qualifications:

  1. A valid Kenyan passport or proof of an eCitizen application in progress.
  2. A current Certificate of Good Conduct or proof of an eCitizen application in progress.
  3. A valid rider’s license.

"Experience is not mandatory but is an added advantage. (Bodaboda riders are highly encouraged to apply.) Successful candidates will undergo four months of training in Dubai, during which the company will assist them in obtaining UAE riding licenses," announced the CS.

In terms of income, Mutua stated that successful candidates who will be able to travel and work in Dubai will make at least Ksh104,000 per month, tax-free, which comes in addition to free accommodation, comprehensive medical care, provision of a motorbike by the company, and a work visa.

"Riders will earn 7.5 dirhams per delivery trip. The minimum daily average is 15 trips, translating to 112.5 dirhams per day. For 26 working days a month, this totals 2,925 dirhams (approximately 104,000 Kenyan shillings, tax-free). Riders with initiative can make upwards of 30 deliveries per day, increasing their earnings," he said.

In a bid to bolster job opportunities in the UAE, Mutua on December 17, 2024, announced that the government had reached an agreement with Etihad Airways to hire professionals in the aviation industry in Kenya, including pilots. He announced this following his engagement on the evening of the previous day where he joined the celebration of the resumption of flights to Kenya by the national airline of the UAE.

The CS remarked that the airlines bring numerous job opportunities for Kenyans, particularly in Nairobi. He added that in the agreement, the government and Etihad would carry out roadshows across the country this January 2025 aimed at recruiting qualified Kenyans to work with them.
