Gachagua To Go Live On All Radio Stations & Tell Kenyans His Big Political Move
Gachagua announced that he will give an interim report of feedback from consultations at his Wamunyoro home

Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has announced that he will address Kenyans on Sunday, February 9 through an interview that will be conducted by all radio stations in the country.
Speaking on Sunday, February 2 during a church service at Almighty God Ministries Church in Mathioya, Murang’a County, Gachagua announced that he will give an interim report of feedback from consultations at his Wamunyoro home, where he has been hosting leaders and religious leaders across the country.
“I had promised that by December 31, 2024, to report on consultations I have been having. I ask for forgiveness for being a little bit late. It is because the responses and feedback were overwhelming,” the former DP admitted.

“At first, I thought that it would only be people from Mt Kenya who would show up, however, many people from across the country came and I saw it fit not to lock anyone out. On Sunday, February 9, I will find time and give out the report on the feedback.”
However, the impeached second-in-command affirmed that he was not keen on repeating what he believes were mistakes made in 2022, adding that he trusted President William Ruto owing to his staunch Christian faith.
“We don’t want to rush the process because we don’t want to make the same mistakes. I am very careful because we made many mistakes. We joined the government without an agreement, basing it on faith and Christianity.
“We thought Ruto was good because he was a Christian and we cannot repeat the mistakes we made. I have to be very careful,” Gachagua added.
He added that the report will be a compilation of what Kenyans have told him and he would unite with the people to develop a way forward.
Gachagua had initially promised to make his big political announcement in January 2025 after holding consultations with like-minded residents of the Mt. Kenya region, promising that the political movement that will come out of Mt Kenya region in the new year "will make the 2002 movement look like a joke."
Whereas that has not happened yet, insiders believe that the impeached DP will be joining forces with some opposition leaders such as former Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka and DAP-Kenya leader Eugene Wamalwa among others.
Gachagua visited NARC Kenya party leader Martha Karua’s home in Gichugu, Kirinyaga County, on Saturday, January 25 amidst plans to close ranks with Karua, who on her part had rebranded her NARC Kenya party to the “People’s Liberation Party”, set to be launched in February.
Meanwhile, he used the Sunday service to slam President Ruto's government for ruining the country's economy by reducing the spending power of Kenyans on a salary, revealing that the next administration would trash all deductions including the Housing Levy, saying that the government does not have the right to force housing projects down the throats of Kenyans.
"We have a big problem, why the economy is not thriving is because the payslip was raided. All workers with a payslip have been neutered, they have no purchasing power.
"The new administration we are working on, our first responsibility will be to rescue the payslip. It will be to restore the dignity of the payslip and the payslip holders. So I'd like to ask all workers with a payslip, both in the private and public sector, much as you are suffering, much as you are having a difficult time, there are good tidings ahead."
