Deputy President William Ruto became visibly annoyed when a youthful supporter interrupted him while addressing a problematic crowd at a Kenya Kwanza rally at Mbale Grounds, Vihiga County.

Rival groups allied to ANC Vihiga gubernatorial candidate Alfred Agoi and UDA Sabatia parliamentary Clement Sloya tried to cut his speech short on multiple occasions to the point he could not take it anymore.

He fired a warning to those allegedly sent to interrupt his meeting, as ANC party leader Musalia Mudavadi was on a trip to America, and thus missed the meeting.

Ruto turned his attention to the supporter who rudely answered him, urging him to keep quiet or leave the meeting.

Watch the video:

"Tuwe na heshima. Kama kuna mtu ametumwa hapa kuja kuharibu mkutano museme sahii hivi mapema ama muondoke kwa hii mkutano. Mnataka Sloya aondoke. Basi nyamazane atapata nafasi aongee. Wewe kijana wacha kunijibu, unanijibu kama nani? Kama umeleta kisirani kwa hii mkutano utoke. Huwezi kuja hapa kuharibu mkutano.

(Let us respect each other. If there is anyone who has been sent here to disrupt this meeting, say now or leave. You want Sloya to leave. Then keep quiet so that he can talk. Young man, do not talk to me like that, who do you think you're talking to? If you've come here to bring problems, leave this meeting. You cannot come here to disrupt this meeting)," he said.

Ruto had initially called for order from the rowdy crowd in respect of the politicians who graced the event but opted for a more assertive approach to properly deal with them.

"Let us have respect, as the Kenya Kwanza coalition we are people of order and of respect. Let us not turn this into chaos.

"When I stand here as the coalition's leader, know that it's a combination of UDA, ANC, FORD-Kenya, and other parties, so let us have some decorum," he said.

He then affirmed that the coalition would not tolerate chaos, even after it is elected into government- if it wins the upcoming elections.

"The next government will not be built based on chaos. Leadership will not be founded on conflict so I urge all of you to be patient and all the politicians will be given a chance to address you," he said.

DP Ruto then encouraged his supporters to embrace unity as it is the only way to outclass their rivals in the August 9 elections.

He has been going around the country to rally supporters to vote for him during the election day and has been wooing supporters of the Western region in various parts of Bungoma and Vihiga counties, whose next-door region happens to be the stronghold of Azimio presidential candidate Raila Odinga.
