SHA Announces Job Vacancies For 8 Positions; How To Apply
The positions set to be filled span across Human Resource Management, Administration, Corporate Communications, Finance and Legal Services, among others.

The Social Health Authority (SHA) has announced job opportunities for eight positions in the authority, amidst reforms at the new health insurance authority in response to public scepticism about its feasibility.
SHA in a notice on Thursday, April 24, revealed that the positions set to be filled span across Human Resource Management, Administration, Corporate Communications, Finance and Legal Services, among others.
"The Social Health Authority (SHA) is a State Corporation established under the Social Health Insurance Act, 2023 and mandated to provide financial risk protection for Kenyan residents by facilitating equitable access to quality healthcare. SHA is responsible for administering the Social Health Insurance Fund, Primary Healthcare Fund, and Emergency, Chronic, and Critical Illness Fund in collaboration with stakeholders," read the notice in part.

"To enhance institutional capacity and deliver on its mandate, the SHA Board seeks to recruit visionary, result-driven, and experienced professionals for the following positions."
SHA has announced openings for several high-level roles, including Deputy Directors in Human Resource Management and Development, Administration, Corporate Communications, and Finance and Accounts.
They're also hiring two Assistant Directors for Legal Services and two more for Claims and Case Management.
Requirements
To be considered, applicants must meet the standards set out in Chapter Six of the Kenyan Constitution. This means providing valid and up-to-date documents that include a Certificate of Good Conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), a Tax Compliance Certificate from Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) and a Higher Education Loans Board (HELB) Clearance Certificate.
Also required are an Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) Clearance Certificate and a report from a Credit Reference Bureau (CRB).
