This announcement means that Kenyans will, possibly, finally get a chance to watch Tems live on stage. Many would remember her for her recent performance at the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup final in the United States (US) during the half time period.
She had got her Kenyan fans excited on Sunday, July 31, 2022 when she teased that she would visit Nairobi, Kenya, but did not exactly reveal what date she would visit the country. On October 6, 2022, she unexpectedly pulled out of her scheduled performance on October 15, 2022.

After her primary education which she did in Lagos, she attended Dowen College in Lekki and later moved to Johannesburg, South Africa to study Economics at a South African university.
She enjoyed listening to Solider by Destinys child ft Lil Wayne. Her favourite artist was Beyoncé and she always dreamt of becoming a music icon.
The alternative singer’s journey into the music industry began when she was 20 when she released her first Extended Play (EP) project, Time Swap EP in 2013.
Her first recognized single, Mr Rebel, a song that got more than 200,000 views on YouTube came after her album Illumination in 2018. She followed it up with another single, Looku Looku a song that was widely accepted and Nigerian radio stations gave it enough air-plays.

In 2019, Tems was nominated for the Best Vocal Performance (Female) and Best Alternative Song for her single Mr. Rebel, during the Headies award.

Recently, she received Spotify’s Billion plaque as her collaborative hit with Future and Drake ‘Wait For U’ surpassed 1 billion streams on the platform. She joined Wizkid, Rema, and Tyla as the Afrobeats artists with Spotify’s Billion plaque.
The Blankets and Wine event is expected to make a comeback after its June edition was cancelled over security concerns. Originally slated for Sunday, June 29, the organisers revealed in a statement that the decision to cancel the event, one which they termed as 'necessary', was informed by the unrest within the country, citing the nationwide demonstrations on Wednesday, June 25, 2025.
