President William Ruto's daughter, Charlene Ruto, went viral yet again on Tuesday, December 13 after she alleged that there is a role created for her as the First Daughter as entrenched by law.

Speaking during the YouLead Summit in Arusha, Tanzania where she was in attendance, Charlene tickled the audience when she introduced one of her employees who works at the Office of the First Daughter.

The summit saw her interact with other youth from across Africa regarding several topics, including leadership and climate change.

She introduced her delegation from Kenya who had travelled with her as well as the staffer, in a video seen by Viral Tea that has since gone viral across social media platforms.

Here is the video:

“So before again I continue, I wanted to introduce quickly my team from Kenya. So, I’ll start from the back. This is Mike Sagana, he’s one of my team members.

"He’s a politician and he’s my principal advisor in my team. And this is Jermaine Momanyi, he is the head of trade and investments at the office of the first daughter…I don't get what is so funny...” she addressed much to the laughter of the audience.

The Constitution of Kenya 2010 does not provide for any office in the Executive named the Office of the First Daughter.

Kenyans therefore questioned how Charlene constituted and ground such an office out of the blue as well as the legalities of doing so, given that it's not a role that has been synonymous with First Daughters of previous presidents.

"Office of the First Daughter? Are we being serious now? Why don't we just turn into a monarch then so that we have Princes Charlene Ruto of Sugoishire?

"But why do politicians' kids & spouses think when we elect their parents or spouses we have automatically elected them?" Juma G posed.

"In Kenya we now have ‘Office of the First Daughter’? And she seems to have one of those small agendas from abroad," media personality Andrew Kibe weighed in.

Charlene Ruto has used a variety of situations to increase her presence online as well as her profile as the First Daughter.

She has been engaged in high-profile public events despite her father not appointing her to a government role.

With regards to the YouLead summit, Charlene revealed that she got wind of it from a former schoolmate.

"I heard about the YouLead Summit from a friend I went to school with.

"I searched about it on the YouLead website and now that I am here, I am glad that I came," she stated, adding that she primarily attended the event to listen to fellow young Africans and contribute to the solutions towards creation of a One Young Africa.

Charlene recently went viral following her narrative that she sold smokie kachumbari while studying at Daystar University, a matter later defended by the university's alumni and by herself.

"95 per cent of Daystar University students did not know her (Charlene) before her dad announced her in public school. Ruto attended a graduation ceremony and informed the institution that Charlene was his daughter," Homeboyz Radio presenter Lotan Salapei stated on Friday, December 9.

"What she said was authentic and true. If allowed, I would share her photo online."
