Kasarani Stadium To Be Used For KMTC Graduation

The 94th Graduation Ceremony of the Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) will be held at the Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani, Nairobi, on Thursday, December 4, 2025, starting at 8:00 am, the institution has confirmed.
In a notice released on Wednesday, November 12, KMTC outlined key instructions and deadlines for graduands, including verification of details, payment of fees, gown collection, and rehearsal schedules.
“The 94th Graduation Ceremony will take place on Thursday, December 4, 2025, at the Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani, Nairobi, beginning at 8:00 am. The theme for this year's graduation is 'Promoting Health and Saving Lives,’” the notice states.
KMTC has published a provisional list of graduands on its website at www.kmtc.ac.ke, urging students to confirm that their names are correctly spelled and ordered.

Names must match the College ERP record, admission letter, and National ID. Corrections to spelling or order must be submitted by 5:00 pm on Friday, November 14, 2025, after which a Ksh 5,000 fee will apply for late changes.
All graduating students are required to pay a non-refundable graduation fee of Ksh 4,000 via the Jiunge platform, with detailed instructions available at https://kmtc.ac.ke/phocadownload/jiunge-Payment-Procedure%201.pdf. Cash payments will not be accepted, and the deadline is November 14, 2025.
Graduation gowns will be issued at KMTC Headquarters, Nairobi, from Monday, November 17, to Friday, November 28, 2025, between 9:00 am and 4:00 pm on weekdays.
To collect gowns, students must present clearance of College fees, a campus clearance form, the graduation fee receipt, and their original National ID. Gowns must be returned by 4:00 pm on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, with late returns attracting a Ksh 100 daily penalty.
A mandatory rehearsal will take place on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at 8:00 am at the Kasarani venue. Certificates will be available for collection at KMTC Headquarters from Monday, December 8, to Wednesday, December 17, 2025, from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm on weekdays, subject to clearance.
KMTC has a history of hosting its graduations inside the 48,000-seater Kasarani Stadium. The venue provides a spacious and secure environment, accommodating thousands of graduands, faculty, and guests.
For example, KMTC’s 92nd graduation saw students from multiple campuses converge at Kasarani to receive their certificates, with seating arranged on the stadium floor and in the stands.
The 93rd graduation followed a similar setup, combining formal academic proceedings with large-scale logistical coordination, including gown issuance, security, and parking. Kasarani’s central location in Nairobi makes it ideal for KMTC’s nationwide student body.
This ceremony will notably mark the first time a graduation is taking place within the sporting facility since its renovation and reopening in time for the 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN).
KMTC’s preparations coincide with other universities gearing up for graduations. The University of Nairobi will hold its 74th Graduation Ceremony on Thursday, December 11, 2025.
Key deadlines include fee clearance by November 21 and payment of graduation and convocation fees by November 28. Gown hire and issuance runs from December 1 to 5, with a rehearsal scheduled for Wednesday, December 10, 2025.
