Kenyans In 6 Regions Including Nairobi & Mombasa Told To Expect Rainfall For A Week
The weather department listed the Central Highlands, Western Kenya, Lake Victoria Basin, Rift Valley, Coast, and North Eastern Kenya as the most likely regions to receive rainfall.

The Kenya Meteorological Department (Kenya Met) has advised Kenyans living in different parts of the country to prepare for moderate to heavy rainfall from October 29 to November 4.
According to its weekly weather forecast, the weather department listed the Central Highlands, Western Kenya, Lake Victoria Basin, Rift Valley, Coast, and North Eastern Kenya as the most likely regions to receive rainfall.
Kenyans living in the counties of Siaya, Kisumu, Homabay, Migori, Kisii, Nyamira, Trans Nzoia, Baringo, Uasin Gishu and Elgeyo-Marakwet were advised to brace for heavy rainfall that would commence in the afternoon and go into the night.
Similarly, areas such as Nandi, Nakuru, Narok, Kericho, Bomet, Kakamega, Vihiga, Bungoma, Busia and West Pokot counties would receive rainfall, but would also be accompanied by thunderstorms.

The meteorological department further announced that moderate rains were expected in Nyandarua, Laikipia, Nyeri, Kirinyaga, Murang'a, Kiambu, Meru, Embu, Tharaka and Nairobi counties.
The above counties were forecasted to experience light rains, particularly in the afternoon and extend into the night after a partly cloudy morning.
Kenyans residing in the Coastal counties of Mombasa, Kilifi, Lamu and Kwale Counties as well as coastal parts of Tana River County were also informed to prepare for light rains from mid-morning.
Temperature Advisory
Kenya Met also warned of high daytime temperatures expected in parts of the Coast, Northeastern, and Northwestern regions.
"Daytime Heat Alert: High daytime temperatures over 30°C expected in areas like the Coast, North-eastern, and North-western Kenya. Keep cool and stay hydrated," Kenya Met explained.
The counties in the Coast region that are likely to experience the high-temperature conditions include Mombasa, Kilifi, Lamu and Kwale, as well as some parts of Tana River County.
On the other hand, the North-eastern region counties to experience the conditions include Marsabit, Mandera, Wajir, Garissa and Isiolo, while the North-western include Turkana and Samburu counties.
However, the weatherman warned of extremely low night temperatures of below 10°C in some parts of the Central Highlands and Central Rift Valley.
