The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) will announce the winner of the presidential elections today at the National Tallying Centre at the Bomas Of Kenya.
Six days ago, Kenyans took to the ballot on Tuesday, August 9 to cast their votes for their preferred leaders, and with almost all the winners announced across gubernatorial, senatorial, Members of Parliament, Woman Representatives, and Members of the County Assembly candidates, one category, the President, remains.
Data by the IEBC showed that out of the 22 million registered voters, slightly above 50 per cent turned up to vote.

6.06 pm: William Ruto of the Kenya Kwanza coalition has been declared the fifth president of the Republic of Kenya.
Ruto claimed victory with a total vote count of 7,176,141 (50.49 per cent) against his closest rival, Raila Odinga of the Azimio la Umoja coalition with a total of 6,942,930 (48.85 per cent).

4.39 pm: Saitabao ole Kanchory (Raila Odinga's chief agent) says they are yet to be given Form 34C and alleges Chebukati has been evasive today.
"We have intelligence reports that their system was penetrated and hacked and that some of the IEBC officials actually committed electoral offences and some of them ought to have been arrested if they were not arrested," he addressed. Read more here
