Kenyan rapper Mwembia Munene popularly known as Boutross has distanced himself from nude photos allegedly leaked by a runs girl he took for a steamy session.

A report that was first shared by controversial blogger Edgar Obare, which made Boutross trend on Twitter for the better part of Saturday, March 11, claimed that the Angela hitmaker met the young woman at a club in Mombasa, took her home for a one-night stand and paid her Ksh4,000.

"So story ilianza like this (it started like this), Kenyan artist Boutross Munene while in Mombasa had a one night stand and paid the woman only Ksh4,000, to revenge she exposes his nudes," Obare tweeted.

Unsatisfied with the amount, the woman, who was also captured in the picture smiling beside the artiste shared naked pictures of the singer who still had his condom intact. He was fast asleep at the time.

In a statement seen by Viral Tea, Boutross through his management Ad Family denied the allegations reported by Obare through his BNN platform, further accusing the blogger of subjecting him to defamatory campaigns.

"We, the management team of Boutross, would like to address the recent allegations of sexual misconduct that have been made against our artist. These allegations were reported by BNN and we would like to state categorically that they are entirely false.

"Boutross has been subjected to a malicious and defamatory campaign by BNN, which has no basis in fact. We have conducted a thorough investigation into the matter and have found no evidence whatsoever to support these outrageous claims. We are confident that Boutross will be fully absolved of these false allegations," the statement read in part.

Boutross noted that he took all allegations of sexual misconduct extremely seriously, and is committed to ensuring that he is held to the highest standards of professionalism and integrity.

While expressing his understanding that the allegations may have caused distress to his fans and the wider public, the artist apologized for any inconvenience that has been caused.

Boutross then moved to compel Obare to retract his claims and issue him a public apology, threatening to sue him to protect his reputation.

"We would like to reiterate that Boutross remains committed to providing the highest quality entertainment and that he is a highly respected and talented artist who has worked tirelessly to build a successful career based on artistic merit and integrity.

"We urge the media company responsible for these false allegations to retract their claims and issue a public apology to Boutross. We will not tolerate any attempts to damage the reputation of our artist, and we will take all necessary steps to protect their name and reputation," added the statement.

The rapper had found himself amongst a list of celebrities such as Betty Kyallo, Azziad Nasenya, Georgina Njenga among others caught in controversial circumstances following alleged social media leaks, which turned them into trends on Twitter.

The two quashed the reports in two separate statements, with the exception of Georgina through her boyfriend, former Machachari TV series actor Tyler Mbaya, famously known as Baha.

The couple and Kyallo had threatened to take legal action against those who started the fake narrative.
