Meanwhile, Viral Tea understands that Zero 01's announcement of DJ Joe Mfalme's upcoming Friday gig was posted at around quarter to 1.00 pm this afternoon, around the same time he was let off the hook over the murder of the DCI officer.

The DJ and six other co-accused appeared before Kibera Law Courts, which ruled on Monday, April 8 that the six, including three police officers, shall be made state witnesses. They had all been detained for 14 days as police concluded investigations into the matter.

The Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP) confirmed this development after it reportedly advised in a letter dated April 5, 2024, that the six be witnesses in the case.

The prosecution, led by Prosecution Counsel Michael Mutune stated that the investigations by the DCI were concluded and there was no enough evidence to charge DJ Mfalme and his co-accused.

However, his hypeman, Allan Ochieng, alias Hype Balo, will be charged with the murder of the late officer.
