"Due to increasing demands for a concert in Kenya, my team and I are working with Mwalimu Churchill to have a concert on December 31, 2023 (Kingereza Kimeisha)," the songstress stated.

After the message, she translated the information in Kiswahili for purposes of her fans in Tanzania, further hinting at staging an overnight concert, which many would call a 'kesha'.

"Kutokana na maombi ya wengi, tumeyafanyia nyinyi ni watu wangu wa muhimu. Expect an overnight concert on December 31. Mwalimu Churchill is working on it. See you soon 254," she added, leaving her fans on X thrilled with excitement.

Shusho hails from Kigoma, Tanzania. Her parents were very religious people and little Christina grew up in strict religious education. When the eventual gospel star was only fifteen years old, she had managed to find her own salvation which continues to date.

She got married immediately after her school graduation to her significant other who became a Christian preacher. The wedding ceremony was held in Dar es Salaam, afterwhich happy couple was blessed with three wonderful children - two sons and one daughter.

After her work as a janitor in the church, she managed to join a church choir, were her God-given talent was revealed. This experience inspired her to begin a career of a solo singer.

Shusho tried to perform on her own and write her own songs and music. It was then, that she began to dream that one day she would be able to release her own album and become a famous gospel singer.

Recently, she drew criticism online regarding the use of Bible quotes in the lyrics of her songs after a video emerged showing that the origin of the lyrics of her song Shusha Nyavu was the book of Luke Chapter 5, verse 4 translated into Swahili.

The song which tells a tale of Jesus and his search for disciples majorly focuses on the scene between Jesus and Simon Peter in the lake of Galilee.

"Yesu alipokwisha kunena, alimwambia Simoni, tweka mpaka kilindini, mkashushe nyavu zenu. Bwana mkubwa tumefanya kazi ya kuchosha usiku kucha, Bwana mkubwa tumefanya kazi ata tusipate kitu," the lyrics captured from the Bible read in parts.

However, despite outright accusations by netizens of plagiarism and lack of originality, some netizens may have become die hards of her music owing to her use of the scripture formulate songs, arguing that quoting the Bible was a common practice among preachers and gospel singers.
