Justina Wamae Dumps George Wajackoyah
Wamae has been in a messy tussle with Wajackoyah in the party that worsened after he appointed its new deputy leader.

Justina Wamae, former running mate of presidential candidate George Wajackoyah, has resigned from the Roots Party.
Wamae stated that her role as the Party's running mate came to an end after the Supreme Court upheld the election of William Ruto as Kenya's fifth president.
"My role as Roots Party of Kenya Presidential Running mate lapsed with the declaration of H.E President William Ruto and H.E Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua on the 16th of August 2022 and subsequent upholding of the election by the Supreme court of Kenya on the 5th of September 2022," read part of her statement.

"In this regard, I tender my resignation as a member of the Roots Party of Kenya. Kindly accord the ORPP the requirements for my name's prompt removal from your party register."
Wamae has been in a messy tussle with Wajackoyah in the party that worsened after he appointed its new deputy leader.
"A party is not entitled to funding if they do not have elected members. The hostility besides the project was that MIZIZI will benefit from the fund. I have voluntarily resigned they can now eat hot air. Watch this space," Justina stated.
"This Office acknowledges receipt of your letter dated 22 September 2022 on the above subject matter and duly notes the content therein," stated Ann Nderitu, Registrar of Political Parties in a statement dated Thursday, September 22.
The party had on Tuesday, August 30 revealed the names of individuals in administrative positions following a resolution by the party’s National Executive Council (NEC) in a meeting held at the party offices in Karen, Nairobi.
In the new changes, Yagnik Vinod Ramji was appointed the Deputy Party leader. Naran Velji Arjan will be the Chief Executive Officer and Janet Akinyi Odhiambo will be the new deputy national chairperson.
Wamae was notably missing from the list of appointments, with reports revealing that she was to only serve as his running mate for the August 9 general elections, afterwhich she had no role in the party.
She has been begging Ruto on several occasions to give her a job, having expressed her interest in serving as a minister in the Kenya Kwanza'a administration.
"Justina Wamae is humbled, thank you Mr President William Ruto and Rigathi Gachagua. The Bible says, speak the truth, my truth is naomba kazi (I'm begging for a job). Am ready to serve," she tweeted.
