Award-winning media personality Claudia Naisabwa on Saturday, January 27 announced her exit from KTN under the Standard Group Limited after two years.

Naisabwa who used to host Str8Up Live every Saturday from 11 am to 1 pm along with Joe de Baddest announced her departure from the station during a live show.

"This is my last show on St8Up...I'll be moving on to bigger and better things, I'll be moving into a different chapter of my life. Thank you so much to everyone who has watched me for two years religiously," Naisabwa appreciated, though struggling to hold back her tears.

The vibrant TV host thanked her audience as well as the dancers and the entire team behind the Str8Up Live show that she has had the opportunity to work with, terming them as a family to her.

She also thanked KTN Home and Standard Group at large, though she hinted that this would not be the last time her fans would catch her on TV.

"Thank you so much KTN Home, Standard Group, for this chance. I love you guys so much so this is my last show, this is my last goodbye but this is not the last time you'll be seeing my face on TV.

"I love you guys, and I was told by someone today in the morning when I was worried, by the way, I did not sleep the whole night. I got a message and I was told "Successful people look like you". Goodbye KTN, I love you guys," she concluded.

In a post on Instagram, Naisabwa hinted at landing another job that will see her grace the screens again.

What was unique about her exit is that it came on the same day she marked three years since joining the media industry, revealing how in 2021 she pitched for the role that was previously held by Chero.

"Marking 3 years in the media industry today. On the 27th of January 2021, I walked into a room to pitch myself as a host.

"Luckily, I got the job and it’s been bliss since. greatness awaits‼️ Happy Mediaversary to me," she stated.

Naisabwa joined KTN in February 2022 from Eddie Butita-owned media house Stage Presence Media (SPM) Buzz to become the new Iwake host, replacing Jamal Gaddafi who moved to K24 TV.

Butita, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of SPM Buzzwished Naisabwa all the best as she left his company, going down memory lane and highlighting the values which convinced him to take a chance on her, and months down the line, he confirmed that she had been a good hire.

“Claudia Naisabwa, time flies. Just the other day you were from a high school with great potential. You have a positive attitude that's why I gave you a chance and decided I will train you to be the best and shine bright. As you say goodbye to SPM and start a new chapter as host at KTN, I wish you all the best in your journey,” read Butita’s post in part.

“I am supposed to be sad by am happy because this confirms I made the best. Take charge, believe, and make a difference because you are great and the world is ready for you. May the grace of God be with you. Adios Claudia tu eres un ganador (Bye Claudia, you are a winner). We will miss you."

Upon seeing the goodbye message, she expressed her gratitude towards Butita, describing him as an amazing boss.

Naisabwa is also a commercial model, voice-over artist, MC (Master of Ceremony) and actress and runs her YouTube channel.

Her decorated career saw her win several awards with her talent and skills on camera standing out. 2023 saw her crowned The Outstanding TV Personality at the Africa Women Awards at the age of 21.

In February 2023, she was picked amongst an ensemble list of personalities to serve at the Talanta Hela Council and Technical Committees created by Sports Cabinet Secretary (CS) Ababu Namwamba, who however revoked the appointments after they were challenged in court.

Nonetheless, she has been a prominent feature in government and county events, most recently the Nairobi Festival 2023.
