NTV's Teen Republik Host Quits After 2 Years [VIDEO]

Talented media personality Aziza Hashim, alias Azeezah, announced her departure from the Nation Media Group (NMG) TV station, NTV, after a two-year spell.

She hosted her last show on Teen Republik on Saturday, August 12, bidding goodbye to her supporters and fans who have tuned in to watch her every Saturday for the two years.

She recounted how she was overcome with emotions on the morning of hosting the show, but she did express gratitude for the journey she went through from the time she hosted her first show.

“I don’t know how to even break this because I woke up today and cried severally, and to ever watch right now Today is my last show on Teen Republik.

"For the last two years, we have doing our best and it’s been quite an amazing learning journey. It’s been a whole 360- the first show my wig fell off and on my last show the wig fell off as well,” she stated.

Azeezah further thanked NMG, the management and the rest of her fans for supporting her while she was at the station.

“I would like to say that I appreciate the support that I got, I have grown a lot by being at Nation Media Group. My bosses have taken a lot of chances on me.

"They have trusted me with a lot of things that would not be given to someone of my age and I don’t take it for granted,” she added.

Possibly to answer questions regarding her next move from Teen Republik, Azeezah revealed that she would be going on a TV break for a small period of time before returning with something bigger and better.

“The journey is going up from here…but a small break from TV,” Azeezah concluded her parting shot.

Staff at the show and the media house celebrated her farewell with a cake as well as played goodbye messages throughout the broadcast.

She joined NTV on October 2, 2021, alongside Joseph Maina, the two replacing Martin Kimathi and Tracy Wanjiru who had been Teen Republik hosts for years.

Azeezah is notably also a presenter for NRG Radio and is also an entrepreneur, MCEE and voice-over artist.
