NTSA Announces Disruption Of Services For 18 Hours
The authority informed the public that its digital platforms will experience intermittent downtime throughout the maintenance window.

The National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) has issued a notice about a planned system maintenance that will temporarily interrupt access to its online services.
In a public announcement dated June 20, 2025, the authority informed the public that its digital platforms will experience intermittent downtime throughout the maintenance window.
The system upgrade is scheduled to begin tonight at 10 p.m. and will run until Saturday, June 21, at 4 p.m. During this 18-hour period, NTSA’s services will be unavailable to users.
"The Authority plans to conduct scheduled system maintenance from 10 pm, Friday, 20th June 2025, to Saturday, 21st June 2025, 4 pm. During this period, all our services will be intermittently unavailable," read the statement in part, adding "We apologise for any inconvenience that might be caused as a result of the maintenance."

Services To Be Affected By Disruption
A wide range of NTSA services will be temporarily unavailable during the scheduled maintenance period. Among the affected services are licensing-related functions, including applications and renewals for driving licenses, provisional driving licenses (PDLs), and conversion of foreign licenses. Issuance and replacement of smart driving licenses, as well as scheduling and checking of driving test appointments, will also be disrupted.
Motor vehicle services will also be down. This includes vehicle registration, ownership transfers, vehicle inspection bookings, and duplicate logbook applications. Access to vehicle records and verification, applications for reflective number plates, changes to vehicle details, and permits for importing vehicles will not be possible.
Corporate services used by businesses, banks, and car dealers will be inaccessible. These include fleet registration and management, trade license applications, dealership registration, asset management services for institutions offering logbook loans, and tracking vehicle ownership for repossession purposes.
Compliance and enforcement tools such as traffic offence management (e-Citizen fines), Certificate of Roadworthiness (COR) applications, and access to violation and citation records will also be offline.
Critical Public Service Vehicle (PSV) services—including applications for PSV badges and licenses, vehicle licensing, and route allocation—will be out of service.
Additionally, safety and regulation services such as access to road safety statistics, submission of complaints or whistleblower reports, and road safety education materials will be unavailable.
Lastly, administrative functions such as applying for duplicate documents (logbooks, licenses), managing TIMS user accounts, and accessing customer support will also be affected during this period.
