ODM Nominates Junet Mohamed, Millie Odhiambo As Minority Leader & Minority Whip
Owing to Junet's new role, Suba North MP Millie Odhiambo has been nominated as the Minority Whip.

The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) has nominated Suna East MP Junet Mohamed as the Minority Leader, replacing Opiyo Wandayi who was nominated to President William Ruto's Cabinet.
Wandayi was nominated as the Cabinet Secretary (CS) for Energy and Petroleum, and if he were to be appointed, he would relinquish his role as the Minority Leader in the National Assembly and as a Member of Parliament for Ugunja Constituency.
Owing to Junet's new role, Suba North MP Millie Odhiambo has been nominated as the Minority Whip.
In other nominations, Saboti MP Caleb Amisi has been picked to chair the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) after John Mbadi was nominated as the Treasury Cabinet Secretary.

ODM further confirmed that the party has officially released the four officials who were recently tapped by President Ruto for national duty as Cabinet Secretaries.
"I confirm that I have received the resignations of Hon John Mbadi as National Chairperson, Hon Opiyo Wandayi as Secretary for Political Affairs, H.E Wycliffe Oparanya and Hassan Joho as Deputy Party Leaders, and Beatrice Askul Moe as a member of the Party Elections Committee," added the statement.
The opposition party led by former Prime Minister, Raila Odinga, however, reiterated that there is no agreement of any nature between it and Kenya Kwanza.
It affirmed that it remains a member of the Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Coalition and will continue to play its opposition role alongside other parties to push for accountability, transparency and equity in governance and public affairs.
Earlier on Wednesday, Raila Odinga held a closed-door meeting with a section of ODM leaders eyeing key party positions.
Among the attendees of the meeting included Kisii Governor Simba Arati and his Mombasa Counterpart Abdulswamad Shariff Nassir.
Odinga later met with Azimio principals including Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka, Jeremiah Kioni of Jubilee party and KANU's Gideon Moi.
