The deceased was reported to have left his home in Spring Valley on Saturday night only for his lifeless body to be found inside his car in a ditch along Ngecha Road.

Police believe that the businessman, owing to the nature of the stab wounds; one on the chest and two on his thighs could have been killed elsewhere and his body taken to the site by unknown persons before being found by Nyari security guards who were on patrol.

Ramesh bid farewell to his family in Spring Valley on the night of Saturday, May 11, the family unaware that this would be the last time they would see him alive.

The following morning, Nyari security guards on patrol made a horrifying discovery when they stumbled upon Ramesh's lifeless body inside a roadside ditch.

Detectives from the Gigiri Police Station are investigating the murder, treating it as a case of homicide.

As they seek clues that would help unravel the case, investigators are focusing on Ramesh's last movements and communication. Family members have already been questioned, shedding light on his activities leading up to the tragic incident.

The motive behind this brutal murder remains a mystery, leaving detectives to piece together the puzzle and bring the culprits to justice.

Incidentally, this is not the first time a businessman of Indian origin has fallen prey in a mystery murder case.

In February 2024, another businessman Jayesh Kumar Kanj was murdered by hitmen while conducting a land transaction in Kitui. The hitmen ambushed Jayesh and his friend shortly after arriving at a conservancy in Kilili at around 11 am.

The businessman was reportedly hit with a blunt object at the back of his head before the alleged hitmen removed his clothes and poured acid on his body.
