"Mimi tunataka tujue ukweli sisi wote pamoja (I want us to know the truth together)," he said.

"I am glad that you are here and I know that you love me. For me, we just want to know the truth and we believe that justice will prevail. My management will give you a date when we can speak and talk more."

DJ Fatxo urged his fans to continue supporting him, expressing confidence that he would triumph.

"I want to thank them so much. Let the support continue. Tutashinda (we shall win)," he added.

Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI)'s Homicide Department who visited his home at Redwood Apartments along USIU Road reconstructed the scene of the 12-storey building residential apartment where the 23-year-old fell on February 22.

However, they found that the window that Mwathi is believed to have jumped from had grills, which made it impossible for a man to fit through, a matter which made their attention shift to whether Mwathi may have fallen from the rooftop.

In addition, CCTV cameras captured him landing on the ground floor of the singer's house, with details of where he fell from unclear.

The detectives headed to the apartment where the DJ lives, on the same day a directive from Interior Cabinet Secretary Kithure Kindiki and Director of Criminal Investigation Amin Mohamed was issued to the investigative agency.

A statement previously recorded by DJ Fatxo at the Kasarani Police station revealed that the duo on the day they met went through four different clubs, beginning with Bliss Bistro and ending at Quiver Lounge along Thika Road.

CCTV footage obtained from Redwood apartments showed them with three unidentified women returning to DJ Fatxo's apartment at around 3 am. A police report further revealed that there was another man, a relative of the DJ, who arrived at the apartment in a different car.

The DJ was thereafter captured in the footage leaving his apartment with the three women at 4 am, while Mwathi was left in the house with two other men.

Another CCTV footage showed two men in the apartment's parking lot scanning the area while the DJ's cousin was seen making several phone calls before returning to the apartment, even though it was unclear what transpired.

Mwathi's mother, Hannah Wacuka meanwhile denied claims that her son died by suicide, adding that he did not have suicidal thoughts.

"I was worried about him and asked him whether he had gone back home. He told me he was still with the DJ who would drop him home and we still talked for a while after that conversation before his phone went silent," she stated.
