Former Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) chairperson Wafula Chebukati on Saturday, October 14 celebrated a milestone achievement in his family life after one of his sons graduated from the United States International University-Africa (USIU).

Jonathan Mwambu Chebukati graduated with a Master of Business Administration (MBA) during the institution's 45th Commencement Ceremony held on campus grounds.

"Congratulations son on earning your MBA from USIU Africa.

"Your hard work and dedication has paid off, and the family is proud of you!" wrote Chebukati on X (formerly Twitter).

The ceremony also saw former KTN journalist, Mercy Korir, graduate with an MBA specialising in Marketing and Finance.

Many knew Wafula Chebukati for his role at IEBC where he oversaw the 2017 and 2022 general elections, withstanding the public criticism that comes with spearheading a commission in charge of electing Kenya's presidents, governors, and Members of Parliament (MP) among others.

However, Chebukati is also a husband and a father. In September 2022, while responding to a statement by President William Ruto praising him for overseeing a credible presidential election in August 2022, he introduced two of his three little-known children.

"On behalf of IEBC & myself, I wish to thank President William Ruto for recognizing IEBC Kenya for having raised the bar of integrity and the standard of public service in Kenya. I feel proud to have made my contribution towards strengthening democracy in Kenya. God bless Kenya," Chebukati stated while he thanked his family.
