I'm Not Going For Paris Olympics- Azziad Denies Being Part Of Kenyan Delegation
This move comes in response to rumours about her involvement with the government and the funding of her travels.

Kenyan TikTok star, radio host and influencer, Azziad Nasenya on Thursday, June 11 denounced reports that she is part of the delegation of non-athletes accompanying the official Kenyan delegation to Paris, France for the 2024 Olympic Games.
Azziad released a statement on the matter as she sought to address recent false allegations about her involvement with the Kenyan government and her personal travels.
This move comes in response to rumours about her involvement with the government and the funding of her travels.
She used the opportunity to come clear on her involvement in government roles, particularly with the Ministry of Youth Affairs, Creative Economy and Sports where she was part of the Creatives Technical Committee which was revoked on June 9, 2023, by Sports Cabinet Secretary Ababu Namwamba following the suspension of the establishment of the Talanta Hela Programme by the High Court.

"Thank you to my amazing online family for supporting my creative journey this far. I do not take this for granted. On that note, I need to make something clear.
"First of all, I am not part of the Kenya delegation to the Paris Olympics 2024. It is unfortunate that someone would come up with false allegations on such a matter. My involvement with the Ministry of Youth Affairs, Creative Economy, and Sports was centred around the Creatives Technical Committee of the Talanta Hela Council, headed by Daniel Ndambuki AKA Churchill.
"I was selected and mandated to represent the younger population in the Creatives Technical Committee. However, the committee was disbanded in June 2023. I've not involved myself since," she stated in part.
Azziad also addressed another sensational allegation that the government had funded her trips to Dubai and other international destinations, stating that they have been either self-financed or paid for by clients and family.
"There were allegations that I travelled to Dubai using money meant for renovating a stadium.
"At the time, I was in Dubai recording content for the #VisitDubai campaign, a trip that was fully funded by the client. The receipts are on my socials - smart people can confirm instead of believing rumours," she told off gossip and rumour-mongers.
Azziad went on to highlight the achievements of Kenya's youth population in promoting government accountability and expressed her heartfelt condolences to the families who have lost loved ones in the recent protests.
She concluded by affirming that "I have lent and will continue to lend my voice and my platform to support positive change in the country."
Her statement comes as CS Namwamba is under pressure to reveal the names of the non-athletes accompanying the Kenya team to France. Three activists, including popular Nairobi-based chips mwitu vendor, Bevalyne Kwamboka, demanded that he publicize the list in seven days, failure to which they would pursue legal action.
While it is still unclear how many officials will accompany the team, Namwamba stated during the flagging off of the team at State House on Friday, that “In the spirit of austerity measures, there is no space or room for joyriders in Paris. There is only space for Team Kenya to fly the Kenyan flag."
He added, “Team Kenya is going to be very lean, but we have provided information to everybody who wishes to travel to Paris. To the governors, members of parliament, and the public, you are welcome to travel to Paris to cheer Team Kenya at your expense. Even the government delegation is going to be at the bare minimum. We have to tighten the belt in every space.”
