LIST: 16 Schools Allowed By Govt To Offer Aviation Courses To Kenyans
According to KCAA, these institutions offer a variety of aviation programs

The Kenya Civil Aviation Authority (KCAA) has released a list of 16 approved aviation training institutions cleared to offer various aviation-related programs across the country.
Among the accredited schools are the East African School of Aviation, located along Old Airport Road in Embakasi, and the Kenya School of Flying, which runs operations at Wilson Airport, Malindi Airport, and Orly Airpark.
Flight Training Centre, with campuses at Wilson Airport, Mombasa Airport, and Nyariro Airstrip, is also on the approved list.
Several other schools based at Wilson Airport have been greenlit as well, including Ninety Nines Flying School, Proactive Air Services, Nairobi Flight Training, Westrift Aviation Ltd, Capital Connect Aviation Supplies, Pegasus Flyers (EA) Ltd, Think Aviation Training, Flitestar Academy, and Global Quality and Safety Solutions Ltd.

Also featured are Kenya Aeronautical College Flying School, which runs from both Wilson and Malindi airports, and the KQ Pride Centre located at the Kenya Airways headquarters in Embakasi.
Outside Nairobi, Mount Kenya Flight School in Nanyuki is also authorised, along with Capital Connect Aviation Supplies (Wilson-based).
According to KCAA, these institutions offer a variety of aviation programs such as the Private Pilot License (PPL), Commercial Pilot License (CPL), and Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL).
Other courses include Instrument Rating (IR), Flight Instructor Rating (FIR), Single-Engine and Multi-Engine Instrument Ratings (SE-IR and ME-IR), Flight Operations Officer/Dispatcher (FOO), and Aircraft Maintenance Engineer License (AMEL).
On February 21, Kenya Airways took a significant step toward revolutionising aviation education in Kenya through a landmark partnership with London Metropolitan University (London Met) in the United Kingdom (UK).
The collaboration formalised at the KQ Pride Centre through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Friday, February 21, aims to enhance workforce development and bridge the gap between academia and the aviation industry.
To ensure the highest standards of education, Kenya Airways applied for a tertiary institution license from the TVET Authority, which is still under review.
During the interim period, the specialised courses will be available exclusively to KQ employees. Once government approval is secured, the program will be expanded to the general public, providing affordable and accessible aviation training across Kenya and the region.
