Brian Calvin undoubtedly runs diaspora show business as the youngest Kenyan Dj across the United States (US) or at least a large part of its native music industry.

The ultimate behind-the-scenes disc jockey (DJ) is quite happy with his achievements. One doesn't get to be the much-trusted young accomplished DJ having hosted stars as big as Burna Boy, Diamond Platinumz, Tiwa Savage, Kiss Daniel, Harmonize, Omah Lay, and Fireboy DML among many other industry heavyweights.

Who is Brian Calvin?

Calvin is an industry shaper, the giant international concert backdrop Dj remotely based in Minneapolis, attracting a greater number of concerts abroad every year round despite the pandemic.

He is a Kenyan Dj who has helped revolutionize the concert business by producing seamless international club gigs of gigantic spectacles in a digital era when live-music revenues are a chastened industry's lifeline.

"I had this sense of how to interact with artists. When to insert myself in their world and when to withdraw," he says.

His results have always been massive tours and concerts. Asked about his motive behind the much now bolder DJ Brand spanning a good chunk of motherland Africa. Calvin said;

“I recognized the disparities in our culture and also the need for a type of gatekeeper of our industry, a type of body that would not only monitor our struggles but also recognize the creators and contributions of authentic African music while preserving its legacy.

Among his goals is to also exemplify the struggles of artists and creators, by shepherding them through the art form and music they love.

He is also helping to secure the ability to be properly paid and properly recognized, but also standing up against the lack of attention on most African genre while it is known to be an art form with the most dominant music throughout the entire globe.
