Man Arrested For Killing Woman & Chopping Her Into Pieces On Christmas Day
The scene was visited and the victim's remains were moved to Nakuru Annex Hospital Mortuary, as the search for the 25-year-old murder suspect commenced.

Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) on Friday, December 27 arrested a man believed to be the main suspect linked to the brutal murder of a woman in Nakuru on Christmas Day.
DCI revealed in a statement that the detectives drawn from its headquarters along Kiambu Road arrested Benard Ngugi Mbau, the prime suspect in the murder of a yet-to-be-identified middle-aged woman on December 25, 2024, in Nakuru. The suspect had run into hiding after committing the heinous murder.
"On the fateful day, Bernard who was employed at Ngomongo Village within Rurii Location is said to have murdered the woman, gouged her eyes, severed her mammary glands and thereafter inflicted multiple wounds on the victims head and abdomen before stuffing her remains in a sack and bolting out of his staff quarter residence," DCI revealed in part.

"Later, his employer is said to have visited the staff quarters where she discovered a stuffed sack soaked in a pool of blood, a hammer and a knife in a bucket- ¾ full of red colored water and thereafter reported the matter at Workers Police Patrol Base."
The scene was visited and the victim's remains were moved to Nakuru Annex Hospital Mortuary, as the search for the 25-year-old murder suspect commenced.
After a tireless search, Benard was smoked out of his hide out at Tumaini shopping centre in Nyandarua County and is currently being interrogated and subjected to further police procedures pending arraignment.
While the motive behind the murder is yet to be established, it is believed that the suspect is a member of the family where the victim’s body was found.
In 2024, femicide murders made headlines across the country, sparking anti-femicide protests. This case almost mirrors that of Rita Waeni, a former Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) student who was murdered in one of the most brutal ways imaginable.
The January 14, 2024, incident highlighted the extent of the atrocity when Chief Government Pathologist Johansen Oduor, who conducted the post-mortem examination, revealed it was the most horrific case he had encountered in his career.
Waeni was killed in an apartment on TRM Drive, Kasarani, and her dismembered body was found stuffed in garbage bags, with her head missing.
In a grim discovery, detectives later recovered a human head, believed to be hers, in a dam in Kiambaa, Kiambu County.
The DCI released a photo of the prime suspect in Waeni's murder, appealing to the public for information to help locate and apprehend him. He is still yet to be arrested.
