Marini Naturals Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Michelle Ntalami has suddenly joined a growing list of nominees by Kenyans for the popular Real Housewives reality television franchise, which expanded to include Nairobi, Kenya.

Ntalami's followers, on receiving news that the reality show would be filmed in the capital city, took to Instagram to suggest that she be included in a yet-to-be-announced cast.

"Y'all better get my gal Michelle Ntalami in the Real Housewives franchise- Real Housewives of Kanairo (Nairobi). Michelle is beauty and brain," he shared.

To which she responded; "Aah Mr Bank Otuch said it y'all. Thank you."

Many fans opined that Ntalami's exuding of class, elegance and gorgeousness on social media as well as professionalism in her career would make her a perfect fit for the show.

Other endorsements included award-winning thespian Catherine Kamau (Kate Actress) but she however subtly turned down fans' requests to feature in the show, noting "You guys are really manifesting big bags for me. Asanteni haki (Thank you so much).

"Please redirect that beautiful manifestation to big acting gigs," she said.

Nairobi Matatu Operators Chairman Jamal Rohosafi fronted his ex-lovers; Amber Ray, his estranged wife, Amira as well as his rumoured ex-girlfriend Wangari Thiongo as part of the cast. Amira however responded to his suggestion saying, “It’s the opaque nature for me.”

Others endorsed by Kenyans include Jackie Matubia, Maureen Foley, Diana Marua, Nyashinki’s wife Zia Bett and Vera Sidika.

NBCUniversal Formats partnered with African entertainment company Multichoice for several more African versions of The Real Housewives shows.

Other than Kenya, the new versions will also include Pretoria in South Africa, with independent production company Provoco filming the 14-part series in Pretoria. Filming in Nairobi will begin in September.

The Real Housewives is an international franchise that currently consists of 11 American instalments, 20 international instalments, as well as 23 spin-offs. 

The shows focus on the personal and professional lives of a group of affluent women residing in a particular city.  

The international franchise began on March 4, 2011, with The Real Housewives of Athens (Greece). Of the franchise, the longest-running is The Real Housewives of Cheshire (United Kingdom), which has aired 14 series.

The franchise has collectively won one Critics' Choice Television Award and four National Reality Television Awards, and has been nominated for 24 total National Reality Television Awards, 18 People's Choice Awards, 12 MTV Movie & TV Awards, four AACTA Awards, three Critics' Choice Real TV Awards, two Dorian Awards, a Leo Award, a TCA Award, a Canadian Screen Award, and a TRIC Award.
