The Nairobi Expressway has announced that two toll stations will be closed this coming weekend for 10 hours.

The two toll stations will be closed from Saturday, April 12, at 10 p.m. until Sunday, April 13, at 8 a.m.
"Please note that Mlolongo Toll Station and Syokimau Entrance A (opposite Dinlas Pharma) will remain closed on Saturday, 12th April 2025, from 10:00 pm to Sunday, 13th April 2025 at 8:00 am," the notice read in part.

The company said the closure was necessary to make way for the construction of a pedestrian overpass in the Katani area.
As a result, drivers who usually use the two toll stations were advised to switch to the alternative stations available. "CBD-bound motorists using the Mlolongo & Syokimau entrance A are advised to use the SGR entrance, while Mlolongo-bound motorists are advised to use the JKIA exit," added the notice.
Moja Expressway company advised motorists to plan their trips accordingly, as the closure will significantly affect traffic.
Meanwhile, the Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) has issued a notice about a temporary traffic disruption on the Thika Superhighway at Kihunguro in Kiambu County.
In the notice dated Thursday, April 10, KeNHA Director General Kung’u Ndung’u said the disruption is due to scheduled maintenance works on that stretch of the road.
