OPPO Reno 8T Series with first-ever 108MP Unveiled with sensational O-Stars

The midrange smartphone that was launched on Thursday, February 16 in Kenya seems to be a bargain for its features.

This is a 4G phone, going for the price of between Ksh37,000 and Ksh40,000 in retail outlets. The brand has partnered with Kilimall online store for orders and sales.

Let me now dive into the experience with this device. I've owned Oppo devices in the past, and it's their ability to withstand frequent use, charging and their well-thought-out selfie photos that make the brand outstanding.

Oppo Reno 8T has a great battery life, say doing at least seven hours without the need for a recharge.

This is bearing in mind that it's in use while in a WiFi-enabled environment. Hence the apps are in full function, plus the regular calls and texting.

Nowadays we consume a lot of content on mobile, and for me, I watch my news feed keenly to follow the latest from as many channels as possible.

I realize that I hardly charge this phone until some 12 hours later. Its battery saver keeps it going for more hours and that can help the user reach a charging station.

Talking about charging, the charger is a super fast charger, made from many years of study to solve the problem of lack of constant electric power supply in many locations in Africa. Hence the quick charge of not more than half an hour can enable continued use of the device for long.

Another pro is that it's 4G enabled, meaning the user can get online with minimum struggle and as well navigate between apps with ease.

The processor is of high performance and the design is well thought out. It comes in several colours. I'm using a black colour device.

The cons include that it doesn't come with accessories such as the jack pin to connect to earplugs hence the user must buy them separately. It does not support wireless charging hence to charge I must plug into a power source.

Compared to its competitors, the price is high in the market. It does not support 4K video recording, and it's also not waterproof.

In general, however, its performance is quite good and is a device I can recommend for Kenyans.
