Popular TikTok comedian Waithira Zakana Kariuki alias KK Mwenyewe, famous for mimicking Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua was admitted to a hospital on Friday, April 5 after consuming a high number of chillies.

The content creator is an ardent Manchester United fan and had dared his fans to a challenge ahead of his team's encounter with Chelsea in the English Premier League (EPL) on Thursday, April 4.

"If Chelsea beats Manchester United tonight I will eat 1 kg of chillies," KK Mwenyewe vowed on a self-written poster which he shared on his social media platforms.

To honour his dare, the comedian embarked on consuming the kilo of chilli pepper, raw. He stated "As I had promised I will take a full kg of chilli, I don't know what will happen but let's go," as he shared a video of him eating the chilli from his plate.

He had to battle through the burning sensation by washing down the chilli with a two-litre bottle of soda, a matter which appeared to worsen with his trip to the toilet.

KK Mwenyewe then revealed that he was admitted to the hospital, with a video showing him confined to a hospital bed.

On Saturday morning, April 6, the comedian informed his fans "Public announcement, I am very okay," as a way of telling them that he was in stable condition.

It's standard for spicy food to cause your upper lip to sweat, your eyes to tear up, and your mouth to feel on fire. Nonetheless, hot peppers come in all shapes and sizes. You can eat them raw or prepare them grilled, roasted, or stuffed.

However, eating too much hot pepper and spicy food in general causes stomach pain with signs that are easily recognized such as vomiting, heartburn, stomach burning or gastroesophageal reflux. In addition, the stronger the spicy level, the more severe the stomach and duodenal ulcer.

Eating too much spicy food also causes insomnia. When using chilli in meals can cause body temperature to rise, seriously affecting sleep during the day and making it difficult to fall asleep.

Eating too much spicy food can also lead to loss of appetite with natural foods, with people who often use chilli or spicy foods excessively in their daily meals at risk of overloading the taste buds of the tongue, leading to the reception of substances in food affected, even lost the ability to distinguish taste.

You should therefore eat spicy 2-3 times/week and eat with intermittent frequency.

Manchester United believed they had won the game before they gave away a penalty scored by Cole Palmer, who got his hat trick by scoring the winner, the latest winner scored in Premier League history, timed at 100 minutes 39 seconds,

This stunned United, who led through nine minutes of injury time, and sent Stamford Bridge into delirium. The Red Devils were ahead with 99 minutes 17 seconds on the clock, the latest a side has ever led in a Premier League match they have gone on to lose.
