Sheila Sendeyo has become the next journalist to resign from Nation Media Group (NMG)’s TV station NTV.

Prior to her resignation, she worked as a news producer and editor for 11 years.

Sendeyo, in her letter to colleagues, recalled the memories she treasured during her time at the famous Twin Towers where she brushed shoulders with CNN's Larry Madowo, Citizen TV's Victoria Rubadiri and Trevor Ombija, among many others.

"I cannot believe how quickly the days melted into 11 years, But as my time at NTV winds down, I can't help but help reflect on all the awesome people I have had the pleasure of working with over the years," she stated.

"Thank you for sharing the wins, the losses, the triumphs, and the trials. While we may no longer be colleagues, we part as friends."

She appreciated her former colleagues for working together with them and building meaningful relationships at the media house.

"I leave with fond memories. It’s been a pleasure knowing and working with you all. My very best to each of you," she added.

Sendeyo did not disclose her next move after her departure from NMG, whether she was taking a break or whether she received any job offers from other media houses.

She joined NMG in 2012 and rose from a broadcast journalist to a news editor, recognised for her prowess in environmental reporting.

She was previously at Royal Media Services (RMS) between 2008 and 2011 where she worked as a TV reporter.

Her exit comes amidst a mixture of huge numbers of departures and arrivals at NMG, with esteemed journalists such as Seth Olale, Idah Waringa, Watson Karuma, and Ken Mijungu among others stepping down.

Some of the arrivals include Bernard Ndong, Brian George Otieno, Lofty Matambo, and Fridah Mwaka among others.

"Sorry I forgot to mention. It's been exactly a month now since August 15 when I started a new job as a broadcast journalist at NTV. Here's to being intentional," Brian George stated.
