Ndong’ began his as an intern at KBC in 2007. He tried to audition as a reporter for several media stations, including NTV, to grow himself as a TV journalist but was unsuccessful.

After graduating from Daystar University, where he pursued a degree in Broadcast Journalism, Ndong joined Royal Media Services (RMS) as a salesperson and worked at Mulembe FM. He then rose to anchor news on Citizen TV, all in a span of 13 years at RMS.

One of the biggest highlights of his career was travelling to Brazil for a month to cover the 2014 World Cup. Ndong would leave the station on Saturday, June 25 during a live broadcast graced by his colleagues who wished him well in his next journey.

Other than journalism, Ndong also works as a fitness enthusiast and influencer. He was poached by NTV days after leaving Citizen TV.

“Bernard joins as our team lead (Sports Editor) for NTV and as an integral part of the wider NMG sports desk team. I believe we are building the most formidable sports desk and we shall lead the way in sports journalism,” Elias Makori, Nation Media Group’s Sports Managing Editor, said in an internal message to staff.

The sports desk was compensating for the silent departure of Idah Waringa from the station, one of the biggest female sports anchors of the modern generation in the country.
