Ex-KTN Anchor Louis Otieno Makes Comeback
Otieno joined in July and has been leading the August 9 general elections coverage.

Veteran television (TV) journalist, Louis Otieno, is back on prime-time news, having joined Look Up TV as a senior English news anchor.
Viral Tea has learnt through credible reports that Otieno joined the station after a deal was agreed upon approach for the seasoned journalist to make his comeback to the screens.
Otieno joined in July and has been leading the August 9 general elections coverage. Sources indicate that sealing the deal was made easier owing to his previous stint at Royal Media Services (RMS) TV station, Citizen TV.

He will be anchoring prime-time news at Look Up TV from 8:00 pm to 9:00 pm, which is a difference from the usual 9.00 pm to 10.00 pm timelines for prime-time news by other media houses.
Otieno's stints at Kenya Broadcasting Corporation (KBC), Kenya Television Network (KTN), Citizen TV and K24 have earned him a place in one of the best TV interview maestros in the country.
His excellence in the English language had earned him opportunities to co-anchor the prime time news in his early twenties before he rose to the top.
However, his fall from grace began after he fell ill leading to him losing his hearing. He appealed to Kenyans to help him raise funds to help him undergo cochlear implant surgery.
Then, a 2018 court recommended fresh investigations into Otieno's link to the death of Careen Chepchumba.
Chepchumba, 26, was found lying dead in her bed at Santonia Court, off Kirichwa Road in Kilimani, Nairobi, on February 14, 2012. Chief government pathologist Dr Johansen Odour told an inquest into the death that an autopsy revealed that she bled in the eyes and neck muscles due to pressure applied on her neck by the assailant.
According to him, Chepchumba could have been sexually assaulted by the assailant. Otieno denied killing Chepchumba nor having a romantic affair with her noting that she was only a friend.
In October 2020, Otieno announced that he was returning to screens with a programme dubbed The Second Act.
"This has taken a lot of work and it's happening because certain people have put together their time, money, and effort and they want to see me back to talk to you because the country has been going through a difficult time and when this happens I'd like to talk to people who are going through the difficult decisions," he said then.
He also pointed out that the show would deal with current affairs in Kenya, among them the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) and political intrigues shaping the 2022 General Elections among other things.
