Pastor Ng'ang'a Picks Fight With Wajackoyah [VIDEO]

Ng'ang'a warned Wajackoyah regarding his ambition to decriminalise the product

Apostle James Ng’ang’a of Neno Evangelism Centre has expressed disgust over Roots Party Presidential candidate Prof George Wajackoyah’s plan to legalise marijuana when elected president on the August 9 polls.

Speaking during a sermon at his church, Ng'ang'a warned Wajackoyah regarding his ambition to decriminalise the product, saying it would derail future generations.

In a terse statement as captured in a video seen by Viral Tea, the controversial pastor noted that Wajackoyah is misleading the youth with his manifesto to not only legalise the product but also commercialise it as a means of bringing revenue to pay off Kenya's debts.

"You are saying that Kenya will grow bhang? May you be cursed and die before the end of your times, period. I also have a right to talk and I'm saying in the name of Jesus, you will not bring curses to Kenya by killing children with bhang.

"I shall not demonstrate on the roads for 10 kilometres begging for that agenda to be done away with, I have the power to say and I will control it from here. I will attack you with something you have never seen because you don't care but we will show you so that you care," he said.

He went on to state that it would also take fighting Wajackoyah to stop his agenda from being materialised.

"I'm 69 years old and you are only 62 years old, you are my junior and I will attack you over your agenda. And when we meet, it's either you knock off my teeth or I knock off yours," he vowed.

He further criticized Wajackoyah's policies on selling hyena testicles and introducing snake farming to boost the country's revenues.

Pastor Ng'ang'a is among a number of clerics who have come out to sharply criticise Wajackoyah's manifesto. River of God Church Lead Pastor Rev. Tony Kiamah warned Wajackoyah that legalising the product would have serious consequences, noting that he has experienced first-hand from growing up in Nairobi's Eastlands area what marijuana can do.

“Wajakoyah has been moving a narrative that bangi or cannabis should be legalized. The damage that that narrative is doing is that young people now feel empowered to smoke weed, now they are publicly smoking it on the streets. I need to remind you here young people that, weed is not a vegetable, and it destroys lives.

"Wajakoyah said with his own mouth that he has never smoked weed, but wants people’s children to smoke that drug; that if he’s elected, he will purify State House with weed that day,” he remarked.

The National Police Service (NPS) had issued a warning to Kenyans sharing a viral video of a child smoking the outlawed drug while endorsing Wajackoyah, noting that they are contributing to the violation of the law as well as the violation of the rights of the minor recorded smoking the product.

"Those spreading the clip are also abetting the violation of the law and rights of the minor, and should cease and desist from the onward transmission of the same," their statement read in part.

During the unveiling of his manifesto on Thursday, June 30, Wajackoyah noted that the value of the drug was enough to grow the economy of some counties, especially Nyeri County.

"One acre of Marijuana can earn you Ksh8 million per harvest. The whole of Nyeri county is 583,000 acres. This means that if we grew Marijuana in Nyeri county, Nyeri residents will earn Ksh4.6 trillion per harvest," he addressed.
