Ruto Is Mentally Ill: Gachagua Over Ksh10 Billion Blackmail Claims
Gachagua dismissed a series of Ruto's allegations, including one where he claimed that Gachagua allegedly tried to blackmail him with Ksh10 billion in exchange for securing political support in the Mt. Kenya region.

Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua on Monday, March 31, deemed President William Ruto a pathological liar after the Head of State spilt the beans on behind-the-scenes events that led to Gachagua's impeachment last year.
In a post on his social media handles, Gachagua dismissed a series of Ruto's allegations, including one where he claimed that Gachagua allegedly tried to blackmail him with Ksh10 billion in exchange for securing political support in the Mt. Kenya region.
Gachagua, in his usual 'shooting from the hip' fashion, seemingly hinted at the Head of State and his team suffering from a mental illness.

"I am now convinced more than ever before that pathological lying is a mental disorder. The greatest existential threat to our beloved country is outright lying to the people of Kenya without blinking, and failure by a leader to put their team together to harmonise their lies. I weep for my Country, Kenya," he posted.
The dispute between the two escalated during a televised interview where Ruto faced journalists from vernacular stations from the Mt Kenya region at the Sagana State Lodge, hours before he is set to commence his four-day tour of the region.
Ruto alleged that Gachagua started politically targeting him after clashing with several Members of Parliament, further claiming that Gachagua demanded Ksh10 billion with a warning that if the request was not met, it would jeopardize Ruto’s chances of re-election in 2027.
"At some point, I told Rigathi Gachagua to stop fighting the MPs, but he now shifted his fights to me, claiming that he could make me a one-term president if I did not meet his demands. He demanded Ksh10 billion so that he could go talk with the people of the Mt. Kenya region, but I told him I would not do it.
"I told him that if I were to only serve for one term, then there would be no problem. I told him if he is the one who decides who will serve how many terms, then he was at liberty to make that decision," he said.
At the same time, Ruto also opened up about the difficulties of working with Gachagua, highlighting several instances where he clashed with government officials.
