Ruto’s Son-In-Law Alexander Ezenagu Featured In Global Ranking
The Most Influential People of African Descent (MIPAD) had announced its Class of 2023 honorees in two global 100 lists; Health & Wellness Edition and 100 Under 40 Edition.

President William Ruto's son-in-law, Alexander Ezenagu was on Tuesday, May 2 feted among the Top 100 Most Influential People of African Descent.
The Most Influential People of African Descent (MIPAD) had announced its Class of 2023 honorees in two global 100 lists; Health & Wellness Edition and 100 Under 40 Edition.
In the spirit of recognition and in accordance with the first pillar of the International Decade for People of African Descent, MIPAD highlights individuals, organizations and governments who have distinguished themselves in the advancement of people of African descent worldwide.

Kamil Olufowobi, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of MIPAD, revealed that the global lists are in continuation of the group’s effort towards highlighting the positive contributions made by people of African descent worldwide.
“We continue to amplify global black narratives and showcase the many untold stories of our struggles and triumphs in every corner of the world, sometimes in unexpected places and high positions,” he stated.
MIPAD congratulated the outstanding personalities and high achievers of African descent from around the world for their positive contributions to humanity.
Ezenagu, who is married to the president's daughter, June Ruto, was featured alongside Black-ish's Yara Shahidi, British actor Damon Idris, American R&B singer H.E.R. and Idris Elba's wife Sabrina Dhowre Elba.
He was recognized for 'his positive contributions to societies around the world, his resilience and strength in the face of adversity.'
The Most Influential People of African Descent (MIPAD), is a global civil society initiative in support of the International Decade for People of African Descent, proclaimed by United Nation's General Assembly resolution 68/237, to be observed from 2015 to 2024.
MIPAD identifies high achievers of African descent in public and private sectors from all around the world as a progressive network of relevant actors to join together in the spirit of recognition, justice and development.
Ezenagu is among Ruto's trusted men who hang out with him. On his trip to Uganda and Tanzania, the President was accompanied by First Lady Rachel Ruto, and Cabinet Secretary nominees Aden Duale and Alfred Mutua.
The Nigerian international burst into the limelight after he tied the knot with June Ruto on May 27, 2021, in a colourful event that saw guests and allies of the President attend.
According to his LinkedIn profile, he's an assistant professor of taxation and commercial law at Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU) in Qatar. He's a barrister and solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria.
He studied at the University of Ibadan from 2005 to 2010, graduating with a first-class degree in bachelor of law. At the institution, he was the team leader of the Students In Free Enterprise (SIFE). He also doubled up as the president of the Literary and Debate Society.
Ezenagu joined the Nigerian Law School in 2010 and scored an impressive first-class grade in his bar certificate and obtained his master of law from the institution.
