Trace in partnership with Dope has toured three out of seven targeted campuses across the country, with TUK being the fourth.

“Growing your talent and passion while in campus is the new way to go. You have so much free time in between classes and can make a name for yourself using platforms that are available online”, said Adelle Onyango during her masterclass session with TUK students.

The founder of the first syndicated podcast in Kenya, Legally Clueless, added that young people must take advantage of platforms like Trace Academia to nurture their skills and grow their careers from an early age.

Andrew Masila from the Innovation and Tech sector at a local mobile service provider explored its talent program and how the students can plug in to it.

Mastercard Foundation in conjunction with Africa CDC is running a campaign dubbed #itsuptous. The key focus of this campaign is to create awareness of the COVID-19 vaccines, debunk the myths around it and get as many young people vaccinated.

On-site vaccinations continued throughout the event with more young people actively participating in spreading the word that #ItsUpToUs.

Speaking at the event, Trace Eastern Africa MD Danny Mucira said, “young people are the future and we as corporates must be on hand to mentor them into the leaders we want to see lead us in the future”.

“Our values are discipline, order, passion and excellence through the campus tours, our vision is to continuously improve the livelihood of young Kenyans by empowering them with a model that will enable their success “ the General Manager of Sol gen, William Nanjero added on.

The tours which are sponsored by Mastercard Foundation, the telco and three other companies have three more universities lined up before the end of the year.
