Nairobi-based musician and songwriter Willy Paul has advised his followers to ignore a statement by his counterpart Juliet Ayub Miriam, popularly known as Jovial denying being in a romantic relationship with each other.

Jovial, in an Instagram story shared by a local gossip blog on Thursday, December 1, explained that the two were just friends.

She added that their alleged relationship was just for show business (showbiz) and have reaped benefits from their collaboration.

"Okay…I'm done! Poze is not my man! He is my friend, it was business and we benefitted from it!

"Now back to reality! I'm suffocating man! I'm tired of enduring. God guide me on what it is to follow," she stated.

However, the Lalala hitmaker insinuated that Jovial was intoxicated when she made the statement and that he would sort out any issues concerning them, internally.

"Please ignore the rumours, she's my lady. She was just drunk when she said that. Jovial, regarding the matters concerning our house, let us deal with them at our house please," he commented.

The two musicians sparked dating rumours before they released a song in the midst of claims that they were clout chasing for the purposes of releasing their music project.

The Mi Amor hitmaker had disclosed in previous Instagram stories that her social media engagements shot up upon being romantically linked with Pozze.

"I log in to YouTube and find that he has so much good music with 2,000 views and they don't have clout as you claim between myself and a certain person but you don't watch their music videos.

"My IG stories became like someone starting in the music industry and I just started the other day until IG is sending me an email expressing their shock; no wonder my interactions and profile views are blowing up," she wrote.

Additionally, Jovial stated that she previously worked with notable musicians but she has never experienced such interactions on her socials.

A 55-second video shared on Willy Paul's Instagram account on Wednesday, September 28 showed them emerging from an elevator seemingly holding each other cosily before frolicking to Pozze's new 14-seater matatu parked waiting for them.

The man behind the camera was heard cheering them on, declaring them as the 'newest couple in town' as they stopped beside the matatu for Jovial to make a few comments.

She cleared the air on Pozze picking her up from the airport with the matatu, given that a number of private cars are usually spotted at the terminals with the exception of matatus ferrying passengers from the Nairobi Central Business District (CBD).

"Listen, we are different, if it is getting an Uber, I can afford one and so can he. He drives a good car," she said to those who had asked questions about it.

Jovial took to Instagram on her end to share photos captioning "Somebody's girl" and "A gal Toto wa nanii," an hour apart from Pozze's video captioned "New lovers in town", which had intensified rumours that the two might be an item.

The songstress three days prior decided to warm up to her counterpart after he shot his shot, posting him on her Instagram and accompanying it with a note that read: "I just wanna fall in love."
