Controversial Nairobi Pastor James Maina Ng'ang'a became the latest man of God to put President William Ruto on the spot regarding the high cost of living and punitive taxes.

In a video that has since gone viral, Ng'ang'a faulted the Kenya Kwanza government for allegedly misleading Kenyans, adding that the economy is in a worse state than it was when it took over from the previous regime.

The patron of Neno Evangelism Centre church further criticised the State for resorting to threaten the churches with closure because of criticism from religious leaders. Viral Tea could not independently verify the claims.

Here is the video:

"Sometimes you are misleading this nation. I am talking like a prophet. The economy is in bad condition and you are using state resources the way you want.

"You hike the cost of living and when you are told off you start shutting down churches. You can come and shut mine!" he dared the State.

Pastor Ng'ang'a was speaking during the Thursday, September 28, service at Neno Evangelism Centre, Nairobi, Viral Tea established.

He added that he would not cower from speaking up for what he believed was right regarding the conduct of the current leadership.

"When I preach, I'll state what is right. I will speak what is right. I swear before God. Some of you guys are misleading this nation, and the consequences will be felt," the pastor said.

"I'm talking as a prophet. The God you are playing around with will get you out of power."

Pastor Ng'ang'a is not the only man of God to have cornered the Kenya Kwanza government since taking power on September 13, 2022.

The Archbishop of the Anglican Church of Kenya Jackson Ole Sapit, had on Thursday, May 25, pressured President Ruto to confess that his 2022 campaign promises are unrealistic.

Speaking in Bungoma, Sapit warned the Head of State that he risked losing the confidence and faith Kenyans had in him and his words if he continued to make promises and omit the most pressing ones.

I know you made heavy promises during campaigns, and we knew that most of them we unrealistic. Those promises portrayed Kenya as a little even immediately after the elections.

"It is now the moment to face the truth, just come out and tell Kenyans that the promises we made are unrealistic, and now let's go to prioritization," Sapit stated.

Ole Sapit further explained that Ruto could be putting unnecessary pressure on the country by trying to be unique from the rest of the countries across the world.

"Identify the national priorities in a manner that would offer solutions to the most pressing needs of the country.

"If you try to push so hard to achieve what you promised and we all know that you don't have the resources to deliver, then you are going to break everybody's back, you will even break your back struggling to make the impossible to happen,” he added.
