Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA)-Adani deal whistleblower Nelson Amenya on Tuesday, October 29 claimed that detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) paid a visit to his family back in Kenya, going to the point of bugging his parents' home.

In a post on his X page, Amenya narrated the ordeal which also affected his friend running a garage business. According to him, it began with the DCI detectives in Subaru vehicles paying a visit to his parents' home.

At the garage, Amenya claimed that the detectives were looking for a stolen vehicle with information considered important to them.

"In the past few days, the DCI Subaru gang visited my parents' home, claiming they had traced a stolen vehicle to the compound. They entered, went all the way to the rooftop, and then left (I suspect they bugged the place)," he disclosed.

"Later, they went to a friend's garage, saying this time it was a stolen Mercedes new model they were looking for and had information it was in there. They were allowed to search, and in the process, they logged details of all vehicles present—even those simply parked nearby—promising to follow up."

Amenya proceeded to caution the DCI, asserting that he knew the names of all involved in the act and that if anything were to happen to anyone connected to him, the whole world would be notified of their identity and they would be held personally accountable.

The whistleblower, who currently resides in France and was the first person to uncover the secret dealings between the Kenya Airports Authority (KAA) and Adani, also claimed that the DCI was misusing its resources to cause terror on innocent Kenyans and silence those who dared to expose the inner dealings of the current administration, instead of focusing on their fight against crime.

"Let this serve as a warning: I know exactly who you are. If anything happens to anyone connected to me, the whole world will know your names. You won’t hide behind faceless orders—you will be held personally responsible.

"Instead of the DCI using valuable resources to target a harmless Kenyan whose only “crime” was exposing state capture and the Adani secret deal with JKIA, focus on the real threats. Fight the rising homicides, rampant crime, and the epidemic of corruption plaguing the public sector. Stop being weaponized against the very citizens you’re meant to protect," he advised.

Amenya further revealed that he was tipped on plans to have him deported back to Kenya by those who sued him, alleging that they were cooking up charges to justify his deportation, something he asserted would never happen.

"These actions only fuel my determination. I am committed to building a Kenya where the DCI serves the people—not the agenda of those in power. I’m fighting for a Kenya free from state capture and corruption—a country where law enforcement is truly independent and dedicated to justice for all," he went on.

Since blasting into the limelight, Amenya has consistently been vocal about the controversial deal, often name-dropping top politicians linking them to illegal activities suspected to have been involved in the negotiations.

On October 15, Amenya was barred from publishing content linking Senate Majority Leader Aaron Cheruiyot to the deal until a hearing was made concerning a defamation case the Kericho Senator had filed. His interview with KTN News on Wednesday, September 18 led to its parent company, Standard Group, also barred from publishing anything on the same.

In his relentless pursuit to uncover every single detail of Adani's involvement in Kenya's infrastructure, Amenya made serious allegations that a marketing company in Kenya was paying influencers and media personalities in a calculated scheme to have them sanitise Adani's image in Kenyan minds.
