Regarding the surgery he underwent to avert the development of permanent scars, Mwenda further noted that the procedure went well and his face managed to recover.

"Man, it's great to be back! Here’s a little glimpse of what I’ve been up to. I’ve had some well-overdue alone time to read, binge movies, journal, reflect, meditate, and ultimately breathe. It’s been glorious.

"The surgery went perfectly and my face is nearly back to normal with no permanent scars. We thank God," he wrote in part.

The content creator further thanked his followers for the messages of encouragement he had received while he was away from social media.

"I can’t express my gratitude for all the beautiful messages I’ve received from during my time off. Thank you to everyone that sent flowers, cards, chocolates, and other gifts.

"Special shout out to my clients that have been accommodating and extremely supportive, I appreciate you & can’t wait to get creating again! Back to work baby!" he went on.

Mwenda had previously disclosed that he was attacked on Sunday night, July 2 while coming from an event, but did not retaliate to the assault, which led to what he described as "my face being sliced open."

The facial injuries prompted him to undergo surgery to avert the development of permanent scars, a matter which disrupted his schedule to the point of being unable to shoot content.

Furthermore, he decided not to reveal the identity of the attacker while at the same time forgiving him personally.

"I have had to have surgery to avoid any permanent scarring. It has impacted my work schedule meaning I'll be unable to shoot content until my face fully heals.

"I have decided not to name him publicly, as I don't believe he should be defined by one poor decision. Although I forgive him wholeheartedly on a personal level," he wrote.

However, he revealed that he followed all official channels to prevent a similar incident from occurring to anyone else.

While hundreds of messages from his fans wishing him a speedy recovery were sent out, a section of Kenyans on social media speculated about the identity of the assailant and their motives.

Mwenda was yet to reveal his next course of action following the attack by the time of publication.
